My only concern for the Tigers if they play the Cardinals is their releif pitchers. Only because St.Louis is known for their late game heroics and if Valvarde's confidence is shot or if someone is sent out to do his job in such a high pressure atmosphere i'd be worried. On paper Detroit wins but if i was a betting man i'd pick St.Louis. It's very close though.  Really looking forward to this World Series and they played each other for the Series in 2006 right ? Revenge time for the Tigers .

I'm rooting NL regardless, no way the Tigers can win.

Not really sure how you can say that. The Tigers just clobbered the Yankees with one Fielder and one Cabrera tied behind our backs, given that neither of them really contributed all that much until game 4. A
Also, might it just be possible that the Yankees hitters having problems may have had something to do with the pitchers that the Tigers were throwing at them.

It's a dark day for baseball.  I can't dislike the Tigers, though, as they do have the MVP of my now 4 time championship keeper team (Cabrera) and Jim Leyland.

Sounds like you got shafted. Ouch

Oh yeah and the guys in the booth were very surprised that Holliday didn't get beaned last night. I think Holliday was legit about his apology and concern over Scutaro so good for the Giants. Now watch they'll nail him tonight.LOL

Very cool Scott !
It was weird last night having both games rain delayed but especially when they cancelled your game when not a drop of rain had come yet. I'd be pissed off too with all the time and trouble that goes into getting to a game, not to mention the money as you said already. Well there's football on tonight too so between the two baseball games and the NFL i should get my fix tonight.

...although I am one of the lucky ones who can get the time off of work on short notice so that I can attend the games.  There are thousands who are not and will be screwed out of their ticket prices too.

Both Ashby and the other dude(both former players) had no doubt they will bean Holliday tonight. Just something to keep an eye on.

Yes, in Canada, we're stuck with the Jays, just glad that each year their season end up in September!

The A roid thing is kinda bullsh*t since cmon....I'm sure I can find a laundry list of players Scott likes that shot up.
It's A Rod there are so many avenues to take!

How about the fact that he was more concerned with hooking up with a girl then the game?
The fact despite all this he is smiling and acting like a fool? His career may be ending and he just doesn't seem to care? Or he's a damn good actor.
Or just go with he's become a thin shell of his former self that is ridiculed by the whole fan base.

I really am pissed, I knew the Yankees of my childhood was coming to an end but oi this is painfulCry
I usually accept the inevitable Yankee post season failure but with how intense they played during the last month, how gritty they were...this is unbelievable.
It blows the pitching has been superb. Kept us in every single game easily and they wont get their fair credit.
