I downloaded IEM Have Come For Your Children from Burning Shed for a fairly low price. To see what it was like. It's even more spacey than PTs early stuff!

Blasphemy!
That's why I'm saving it until I can give it a one sitting, fully foccussed watch. I have about 3 albums right now sitting on a shelf which I haven't even looked at since buying them because I'm saving them for a time to give them a focused listen to start.
Also, hope the IEM boxset actually gets shipped early June like it says on the site... Don't want to have to wait for this one like with Anesthetize...

Yes, I've been trying to watch Anesthetize in between working on finals... I will have to eventually watch in its entirety. I had to actually stop right in the middle of Anesthetize to get some work done... you have no idea how hard that was...

Same here, Halo is a good track, but Stars Die is an absolutely paramount song. They played it live when I saw them a few months ago and it was amazing, the vocal melody was stunning.
The Anesthetize light show, as I recall from the same show, was pretty energetic and bright when they played it; it could be because this time it wasn't played as part of FoaBP, so they gave it a less conceptual light show.
Really hope Anesthetize arrives this week, if it doesn't I'll have to wait for probably 2 weeks to finish my school work and exams for this semester before I can give it a full viewing.
It hurts to realise that I missed this gig and discovered PT about a month later

Yeah, I would have really liked to see Stars Die or Prodigal... frankly, I like these much more than Halo anyways.
The setting is physically really dark on Anesthetize.... I feel that they should have added a little more color or brightened the lights a bit more; I know it goes with the theme of the show. It's not too bad, just some parts are too dark to see.

Just watched Arriving Somewhere again, still hasn't got boring. Most replayable DVD I own Man, I'm so goddamn pumped for Anesethize. Hope it arrives before this coming weekend, even though it ain't likely.
God, I love Arriving Somewhere. One of my favorite performances is probably "So Called Friend." I also love "Futile" from the bonus disc. But the masterpiece of Arriving... is probably the title track, IMO.
Found it pretty odd that they included "Halo" again in Anesthetize... it's a good song and all, it's just that we've seen it before. Hopefully when I watch it, they change it up a bit somehow.

You said it, man! I am starting to think I may have been less out of pocket if I had decided to become a crack cocaine addict rather than a PT fanatic!
...I think you're definitely right.... I've spent so much money on music in the last few years, let alone PT. But at least it's money very well spent .

...just got done watching Anesthetize up to "Drown with Me." Wow. ...that's all I have to say.
It's a very satisfying gig, that's for sure. Each member of the group gets his moment to shine, it ain't all just about SW. Watch for a particularly amusing moment when Barbieri proves he's too good to even need hands to play his keyboard (he plays it with a plastic drink bottle!)

I love the notes about Porcupine Tree on the back of the booklet too
"Is Porcupine Tree habit forming?"
You have no idea, Steven .

Man I can't wait to see it, my copy should be shipping in 3 days. Hopefully it'll arrive by the weekend, although it's not likely it'll come that fast.
