Me too. It sounds really really awesome live. I hear the RAH gig at the end of this year will be three hours. The first being the Incident suite, and the other two being classic PT, including, apparently, some stuff they haven't performed for a long time. How can they afford not to record this? It sounds incredible.

The new Pendulum is at number one! I know it isnt strictly a SW album, but it feels so great that he finally appears on something that made it into the top of the chart.
Sadly, a recent interview with Richard Barbieri over on the PT Forum website suggests that there won't be a new PT album til 2012 I assume after the Albert Hall, they want to take next year off, and concentrate on solo work. Hopefully, there'll be some releases to keep us hardcores happy in the interim. Here's to Recordings in September, can't wait for that!
Also, he said that its unlikely the RCMH or RAH gigs will be recorded for CD or DVD. I hope they change their minds. These are arguably the biggest gigs of their career.

I noticed Steve's more growly vocals on the DVD, too, especially on Sleep Together, Cheating The Polygraph, Sever, and What Happens Now? It was unexpected, but I found it quite energetic and thrilling. For those who haven't seen it yet, dont fret. PT haven't turned death metal. But SW's voice does go a bit more harder, and aggressive, during some of the heavier songs!

In Absentia was the point of no return for me, as well. I already owned FOABP and Deadwing, which I enjoyed a lot, but it was IA that made me into a big fan. What a cracking album. In a catalogue of great stuff, that one is one of the crowning jewels.

I would say this is PT at their finest. Side note: It took me over a year to get into PT but once I got it, I was hooked.

^ Also a very fine album, indeed. One of my favorites. Trains was one of the first PT songs I listened to, and it definitely hooked me for life.

Very nice! Anesthetize is no doubt one of their best songs to date. Now get Deadwing, if you don't have it already, and listen to Arriving Somewhere, But Not Here. Another amazing long PT song! I've decided In Absentia is up next, but I'll get around to deadwing.

^ It is truly an ethereal experience. One of the most well performed and creative live DVDs that I have ever seen.

I noticed the gruffness too, his voice seemed different somehow. Not sure I totally dug that, but there's too much good here to complain about anything, really. I love the dark look of the stage, the sci-fi feel, and the crushing power without sounding metal. It's a cliche, but this show is almost a perfect cross of Rush and Floyd's positive attributes in a new package. It's just so well done.

^ Anesthetize was simply spectacular. I love when Steven's voice gets a little gruff, "But I can't switch off!" Will PT go prog-death metal? John and Steven have some truly amazing vocal harmonizing in the DVD. I noticed Richard smiles alot, haha.

Watched the first half. SO good. The title track was unbelievably powerful. Some of Harrison's fills just take your breath away. The sound is phenomenal, I pushed my system way beyond where I usually go, and had great purity, no distortion, and great sonic balance. My ears took a serious hit last night, as did my liver, but it was worth it. Great fun, and possibly.....key word possibly.....better than AS.

Wow, I just listened to Fear Of A Blank Planet start to finish for the first time. I'm still a bit of a prog newb but I gotta say Anethetize is the best song over 15 minutes I've ever heard. I truly mean that. It's better than Dogs. Most other songs of that length to me usually seems too drawn out, or just like its not good enough for it's length. But ever second of Anethize is enjoyable.
I really apprieciated that the album has no boring parts that are supposed to "build suspence for the good part." It's just all good.

I had no idea what to expect when buying the boxset; the few samples I've heard reminded me of tracks of OTSOL and some other tracks like Pagan and Intermediate Jesus. I've enjoyed them all though, so I'm really excited to hear what it's like.
I'm a sucker for nice packaging as well, and 35 pounds for 3 albums and one EP is a pretty good price, considering the rarity and packaging.

PT passed me by for years, too, sadly
They really do need better marketing. Everyone I show them to, says 'these guys are awesome, why havent I heard of them before?'
