^ right I should of said Jason Heyward, not exactly memorable, I guess

I heard the same type hype about Justin Heyward and how he was going to be a star......now he is batting a whopping .214, chances are Bryce will never be a star with or without a bad attitude.

You honestly watch a terrible hitter flail like little leaguer at a pitch in the dirt and think "this is entertaining because he respects the game?"

I like when players are good guys too. It makes me want them to succeed, but it doesn't make the game any better.

I didn't say I like the kid. I dislike the kid. I love hardworking players, but the fact of the matter is that you working hard does that make you more exciting on the field. The kid is potentially a rare type of player. Barry Bonds doesn't seem like a great guy to me, but he was a once in a generation type player to watch.

He's a special player. All players decline of course, but if you look at the players he's comparable to, basically the other top 10 players in the history of the game, they all aged fairly well. Many of them had truly spectacular seasons past their prime. I don't think people realize just how good he is a lot of the time. He walks more than he strikes out and is still able to generate absurd amounts of power. He's just a special player. I wouldn't expect a huge decline.

The Phillies have the kind of payroll to throw at him, but not realistically given their other commitments. Of course though with Ryan Howard, there is a absolutely 0% chance of it.

I had a dream that the Phillies signed Pujols and dumped Howard on somebody. It was the most glorious and unrealistic dream of all time.

Raburn finally came through with a grand slam yesterday. I keep waiting for him to have his 2nd half surge like he has had the last two years. It really makes no sense how he can play so bad for the first half of each year and so good for the 2nd half. I'm not really expecting much from Ordonez or Coke, but it would be nice if they can start putting together some good games. Rumor mill that I am hearing is that the Tigers are interested in trading for Michael Young and finally having a 2nd baseman. This both interests me and bothers me at the same time, as I can see Dave "Dumb"rowski trading away the future to try and save his present job. Or maybe trading Raburn, and then he'll go on his .350 avg, 20 HR, 60 RBI 2nd half terror which would have looked much nicer in a Tiger uniform.

It seems like Albert Pujols might be back to being Albert Pujols.
