I think it can be. His K/9 will probably come down a bit, but with this two secondary pitches becoming serviceable he's cut down on the only thing that was going to keep him from being elite. Plus he has some pretty good pitchers to learn from on that staff now.

And Hamels dominating until minor (hopefully) injury.

I hope his performance can be maintained.  Certainly a career year in the making.

Anybody see Teixera sell that HBP last night?  Most players that actually do get hit by the ball don't hop around that much. LOL

Love it...CryAngry

They did win 12-4 though. Had one of those Yankee innings where they keep piling up runs, then a few more times.
AL East is still crazy, I think it'll be a down to the wire for the 3 teams.
And honestly while most likely out of it...Toronto and Baltimore aren't toooo far behind

McCutchen is finally putting up the elite season I've been waiting for him to put up. Maybe with the jump he's having from very good to great, potential MVP people will stop ignoring him just because he plays for the Pirates.

The Buccos are moving close to .500 again. Still early but I'm liking this trend of staying close to .500. Thanks to the Stros and Cubs for bringing up the rear so far.

Sounds like you got some pitching issues there.

Tell me about it.

Red Sox 14
Blue Jays 1

By far the ugliest, most lopsided sporting event I've attended.  I think catcher JP Arencibia let at least 3 pitches go past him.  Whenever we have an inexperienced starter, we should have Jose Molina go behind the plate instead.  The only positive was that Bautista snapped his homer-less drought.

At least the Dallas Mavericks just won the NBA championship.  That neutralized the (sun)burn.

Good game by teh Royals yesterday, Soria was a beast of a closer once again. Glad to see he's found his mojo.

So either players are complaining are about being hit OR they feel its OK to throw full speed at someones head.

Whatever...Fausto Carmona has fallen off a cliff since his 07 year anyway.
The pitch hit Teixeira in the middle of the back. Doesn't make it right.  WCBS announcer claimed it knocked his helmet off.
To a ballplayer, I bet the knee hit a few days ago was worse.

Looked like it was going for the head, I mean he did drop pretty damn fast to avoid it so of course it didn't hit thereLOL

Well Scott, you may be a Yankee fan for the rest of the Indians series but don't struggle too hard...gotta love how we were this close to blowing an 11-2 lead.

All mah fears are coming true...the HR heavy offense faltered and the starting pitching is starting to slide back to normality....Also 3 of our relievers are hurt. Today it showed in an ugly way...thank goodness the lead was so large.
