Crossing my fingers that my cousin (Jason Donald) gets back to the Indians- rehabbing an injury- with AAA Columbus right now.

Classic example of why Tony LaRussa shouldn't be managing a team.

They should have brought Pujols in last night to pitch the 8th.

Yes he is the best in the game at this moment, although he is having his worst year ever, it just makes me sick to think that the salary escalation will never end in sports.

I would like to see the guys who's dream of playing in the big leagues that are career minor league players have something to fall back on when their playing days are over.

Don't blame the player. You would fight for the largest contract too.

I watched an inning of the game on an Atlanta based channel, and my god are their announcers boring!!  It gave me a greater appreciation of the announcers Toronto currently uses.

Romero hasn't been helping my fantasy team as of late. Not like there are other options available this late into the year.

Just watched Clayton Kershaw pitch a two hit shutout complete game over the Tigers.  On top of it he drove in tow runs in the top of the ninth then struck out the side in the bottom of the 9th  On top of that the news Bud Selig rejected McCourts TV deal with Fox there might be hope at the end of this dark tunnel.
Matt Kemp deserves to be starting on the All Star team this year, 2nd in the league in average,  tied for first in HRs, 3rd in RBIs, 1st in Slugging pct,  tied for 5th in stolen. bases,  tied for 7th in runs scored and 4th in on base pct.

I don't know who is worse.  Howard or Albert "The Ego" Pujols.

Lol let me make it easy for you.

One is already a sure fire hall of famer who will put up absolutely historic numbers barring injury trouble, and the other is a good player.

How does he have an ego?

Wanting the biggest contract in sports history for one. At his age he is not worth 30M for 10 years.

Ego???
omg please tell me that is not seriously your beef.
I wish people would at least admit they dislike players because they are good/a rival. I mean a horrible ego in baseball? Or any sport? Go imagine... LOL

Though he does seem to off his normal pace this year I'll grant.

Konerko is also putting up good average and power numbers, though his team is currently 5 below .500.  Then in the NL you've got Pujols, Fielder, Votto, Howard (despite a low AVG), and Sanchez putting up decent numbers.  I have no evidence to support this, but I'd guess most of the notable all star snubs annually are first basemen.
