Oh good. Easy Money is on. He can cut out the cancerous shred.
The fact we've had 2 going without the internet exploding is a miracle

Mine was $150 + $100 amp (special deal at the time) +bag and strings and other sh*t. I think the ENTIRE purchase was $400. My friends guitar alone was more than that and he said he likes mine better. And people told me I should know what I'm doing when buying stuff...

Standard Tele's play like a dream and are usually around 800$ here (or about 400-500$ used) although I have no idea what the prices would be like in NZ. Great axes though.

Between $500-1400 NZD at the top end.
I'd be looking for a new one for less than 1k.

I'd recommend a used American Special Telecaster; they retail at about 1400 used here but they have one in used, although near mint condition for 900$ at my local music store. Amazing tone and looks sexy as well. You can get a lot of other great guitars for that price though, depends on what you want to play.

Maybe its my metal roots. The Fender start and tele are quite fine, but meh I need the metal edge!
Ibanez has it, but not too over the top (BR Rich lol)

I should sleep sometime soon. My computer light is casting a shadow of my ceiling fan. When I look at the shadow of the blades they keep growing. Even when I stop and rub my eyes....

Yeah, that is a journey only you can make. I'm fine with my cheap Ibanez (decent still for its price) and sh*tty but heavy line 6 amp. If I ever get good I'll want better equipment, but it suits its purpose right now.
