I don't really smoke tobacco, still a minor, but I suddenly pick it up when I find out one of my friends has a carton.

i think everyone should try smoking something just once. health be damned. me, i mostly quit, but i was never really big on smoking anyway. i'd have joint once in a very long while, but never really got into tobacco. now and again, i'll have a smoke, but very infrequently.

Cigs, but I have no money so using what little I can scrape up on smokes is REALLY bad.

Yep - cigars , cigarillos , cigarettes. Anything goes really, but I don't smoke very often and I know it's a bad habit. I've no intention of stopping though.
And yes, smoking should be banned in bars, restaurants etc. People who want to drink or eat without being exposed to the smoke should be able to do so.

For nearly three years, first Marlboros, then a pipe, then mainly clove cigarettes ... then I quit ... that was over 12 years ago ...

I jused to be quite a heavy smoker, smoked for more than 30 years, but
I quit about one and a half year ago. It was a decision made very
quickly: I realised that I didn't have any more cigarettes and instead
of going out and getting some more I quit. Unfortunately I put on some
weight and haven't been able to get rid of that as well.

I never smoked a cigarette, but I do smoked a lot of marijuana. I stopped last winter, I was just only listening to music stoned (as much as school as at home). Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Gong, Can, Mogwai, etc...
