Oh and totally I get why someone would hate him. IDK man, not like I love him just...I'm neutral and all you say is fair but dude, he's a receiver the cockiest, laziest sonsofbitches there are. I think it was Ron Jaworski (IDK I forget) that defended him saying most receivers take plays off, often a lot of times. And as for bitching and moaning dude... I wish it wasn't so but look at 90% of players I guess I just don't see why he seems singled out, especially with people I'd say are far worse. I dont see what warrants it. Must be because of his good career. Regardless he's not the best ever, for sure. Hell TO is ahead of him with yards and Moss just is ahead with TDs despite playing 2 full seasons more. Not that I'm really a huge fan of those stats, but its still something. And a little more accurate than passing stats. Edited by JJLehto - February 04 2013 at 19:28 |

Yeah but you admit, and I gave Steelers fans props for that. They generally admit they hate all teams not Pittsburgh. I dont buy their excuses....but I appreciate the honesty! Edited by JJLehto - February 04 2013 at 19:20 |

I don't blame MOM for hating the Ravens. If you live in Pittsburgh it is expected. along with hating these teams too..........

I've noticed the tendency to sympathize with Moss and for the life of me don't understand it. Arrogant, cocky, lazy, puts forth no extra effort to make a play. He doesn't set a good example for younger players, he bitches and moans constantly (at least he did in MN). Why feel bad for a guy like that? Would you want to work with a guy like that? Have a co-worker who acts like that?
I actually don't think he's even close to the best. He has some natural talent but his attitude has diminished what he could have been. I think he could have been great had he pushed himself throughout his career. |

I think the Alex Smith talk was purely to kill time.
Well good season and good SB. Now onto 2013! SB at the meadowlands, and really the G Men aren't far off...with some fixes on defense they have all they need already. Not saying we'll have the Manning Bowl in NJ buuuuuut |

Yeah, we all knew he was an ass but he couldn't even lose gracefully to his brother?
Sheesh. To be fair, Randy Moss is probably one of the best receivers ever, THE best?? Obviously a little silly but what can ya expect? Few people will say, yeah I'm a top 10, maybe 5 but man I aint the best. Kudos to whoever does but that'll be a rare day I do feel a little bad for him, actually Far as I know, not really a bad guy...maybe lazy and cocky but esp at his position...it's not that terrible. He has been a great receiver, played on several great teams and has now fallen just short of 2 super bowls. I kinda like a veteran to finally get one (unless I hate them). Also several people on the radio this morning echoed the point I made last night: it was a very physical game, and the refs let them play. Holding on both sides, lots of rough play, and few calls. The irony we moan about they "over officiate" and how the game has lost its way...MoM is the biggest wanter of the "good ol days" yet when we had that game people gripe And still it was't terribly defensive when you think about it. I am naturally excluding MoM since he only sees the bad calls that benefits the Ravens...but a lot of people seem peeved. Do you want the 70s or not people!? Haha. It's funny...the only reason I would have been happy if the 9ers won would have been that Moss finally got a ring. Though yes...his great receiver ever comment was hilarious. But I don't expect anything less from him. |

It was nice to see the arrogant prick Randy Moss (self proclaimed greatest receiver in NFL history) go down without getting a ring. Also nice to see Jerry Rice didn't let him get away with his comments about being the greatest..... |

It was kind of funny how the highly-paid "experts" felt that the 49ers should put in Alex Smith after the blackout since Kapernick was too young to know how to manage the clock and wouldn't be able to get the 49ers back into the game. Thanks to a bad punt/good punt return and a lost fumble Kapernick and the 49ers pretty much closed that gap in mere minutes.

You could go with that, but "least valuable" is really too kind of a description for his play.

The ravens were a team on the decline going into and during this season and, despite the travesty to all that is football that just happened, are a declining team going into next season. They had a miracle run, rallying around their retiring leader run, and aided by the worst defensive play in the history of football (still no excuse for Denver not fair catching Flacco's game ending punt). This was a team at the end of it's run, not the beginning. Don't see any way in which they have a winning record next year. As for the Bungles, they have the young tools on offense and a solid defensive core. Their problem is the head coach. If they canned Marvin Lewis I could see them having a very bright future. After what just happened I'm going to have trouble taking the nfl as anything but a joke, though.

Interesting comments from Ray Rice after the game. But there might be some validity to it, especially since it looks like the Steelers might need to start re-building their defense.
*Waits for MoM to come in and slam it as a crackpot theory and/or some comment about their current coaching staff isn't capable of making it happen* Seriously though, I think the biggest question mark for Dalton is the same one I had for Flacco: Can he finally take the next step in terms of leading his team not just deep in the playoffs, but to a SB?

Normally a Steelers fan like myself wouldn't be cheering for Baltimore but i was. There are certain NFL teams i have disliked for years and the Niners are one of them, and besides i've always respected the Ravens for their style of play. It was the Ravens manager who said he builds his team to beat the Steelers 'cause if they can't they won't likely get out of their division come playoff time.
I still can't believe the Niners didn't score from the five yard line late in the game because they were unstoppable in the second half.
