Songs:
Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart

Yes - Don't Kill the Whale
Genesis - Mama
Genesis - That's All
ELP - Love Beach
some many others, I suppose.

has anyone heard Shingetsu's self-titled album? it's full of sweet, simple, Camel-like prog-almost-rock songs but despite it being nowhere near my tastes I love every song on it. I just can't work out why ;P

80s Genesis. I like all of the songs except one or two on Abacab, Duke, s/t and Invisible Touch, and some I love. Especially Dodo/Lurker, the Duke Suite, Mama, Home by the Sea and Domino.

okay, well, I know every lyric on the album, how about that? It's
a fun one to drive with shouting it at the top of your lungs, that's
for sure.
yeah don't worry, I've never been phased by the haters (<- make
sure you read that with a gangsta 'accent') since I've been here

No guilt pleasure in that! Bat Out Of Hell I and II are two of my favorite non-prog records!
Lesse... guily prog pleasures... I suppose In The Presence Of Enemies by Dream Theater because I know it word by word and everyone else in the world hates the lyrics for being cheesy

ITPOE is one of the better lyrical songs on the album......that's saying something . Don't think of DT as a guilty pleasure...everyone who hates them can keep it to themselves, their opinions haven't altered mine a bit...I still think they're the best damn band on earth, ITPOE is EPIC.

I love:
Yes's "Tormato" Gentle Giant's "The Missing Piece" ALL of King Crimson and Rush's albums
There might be others, but I can't think of them at the moment.

...c'mon, you know that every prog band has had that moment where they either delved to far into pop or went way too excessive with a idea. And to most it sounded horrible but you know you like some of them...
I would have to pick "Arriving UFO" by Yes.
Every time I hear it I cannot get over how cheesy and awful it is (considering that the same band had done Awaken a year earlier), but I still listen to it on a regular basis and can't help but smile.
