The thing about futurama is that they kill their jokes because they presented a future in wich everything is possible. So, nothing is funny, because nothing unexpected can happen in a future in wich everything can happen.

What channels/where can I watch it? |
I have Invader Zim season in avi format, since it is not availabe as DVD in this country. I specially like the Christmas episode, though I have the feeling that the author of the scripts is in seriuos need of psychiatric help. As for Wallace and Gromit, and, as I said, being a truly devoted fan of comedy, I have to say that those guys are the most clever writters / animators ever.

If a need to laugh, Invader Zim is all I need. The Nickelodeon equivalent to listening to The Residents. For White jokes, just Wallace and Gromit. Those guys in Aardman can make a joke out of nothing.

Since I'm kind of devoted to pure comedy, i have to 50% agree with you. The fairly odd parents also presents some really unexpected jokes from time to time, like that one episode about Vicky being bad because of a bug, and Cosmo's relief about it, because ti was a bug and not corn. Very Monty Python stuff... |
I agree, that show doesn't get anywhere near as much respect as it deserves. On occasion it references things way above the targeted audience and other times it's just pure abusrdism. When it's good, it's very good

Oh, Spongebob Squarepants has incredible jokes, such as the one of the episode in wich Patrick and spongebob become parents of a baby clam. I mean, when they both walk by the streets with their "baby", and a fish that is passing by watch them and thinks "Seasponge + Starfish = Clam???". You can't say that this is not the work of a genius comediant... |
i'm not sure if that was sarcasm...and if it wasn't i respect your opinion.
but i really do not like spongebob. at all.

what's with people dissing the new south park episodes?
they are great too...
except for "a million little fibers" which sounds like the spongebob writers took a shot at writing a real cartoon. it's um...nicht so gut...

At the present moment, I voted for The Venture Bros., such a great show! As for some of the others: South Park isn't funny anymore, I don't like the concepts of the episodes. The Simpsons is the best cartoon ever made, but is way past its prime. Futurama was a really good show, I wish it hadn't ended. I wish I watched more Robot Chicken, I always seem to miss it. Sealab 2021 was HILARIOUS until the guy who played Captain Murphy died, his replacement character on the show sucked. Fairly Oddparents is mildly amusing, but I don't watch it too much anymore. And I never liked Spongebob Squarepants... way too juvenile of a show, and too much stupid humor.

Other. Phantom 2040 was way too ahead of its time. Fascinating plot, awsome artwork. Everyone looked like Mick Jagger for some reason. And yes, I prefer this cartoon to Aeon Flux, because of the clever reinterpretation of the Phantom character.

that's neat, and probably makes the show a bit more special than others might be.
