I totally agree, but that doesn't mean that SLS isn't a great work...

I really like Vanden Plas, all of their albums; the same with Kamelot. Sometimes I get ashamed 'bout that, but, it's a guilty pleasure

To Me, Test For Echo is uninspired.
It is not very progressive, beautiful, energetic or interesting. Just a bunch of OK AOR. I like the songs TFE, Driven and Resist - but I usually like every song on Rush albums. The lyrics are trite and hopelessly out of touch in a dated and middle-aged way and I find the album just dreadfully difficult to make it all the way through. It's very very soft and weak for the most part and I was embarrassed for them.
Fortunately, Vapor Trails is amazing.

I like lots of "wrong" albums. Here's some of my favourites:
Camel: Breathless, Stationary Traveller
ELP: Emerson, Lake & Powell
Procol Harum: Grand Hotel
Moody Blues: Strange Times
Asia: Asia, Alpha, Aqua, Arena, Aura and Silent Nation
GTR: GTR
Genesis: Invisible Touch, We Can't Dance
Well those will do for now. And before you burn me as a heretic newbie I want to assure you all that I also like lots of "right" albums.

Did you see the DVD of YES in PHILADELPHIA?. Circus of Heaven is the song with the best sound in the mix. It's magical...
I'm a big fan of Circus of heaven. i had a lot of fun translating it to my language. Man, how beautiful! How wish I was in that Circus of Heaven someday, watching the parade......BTW I love Circ du Solei, the closest thing on Earth....and their music sounds progressive for me...what do you think?

My favorite Pink Floyd album is...(gasp).. RELICS!
Not kidding, there's something in that collection that I find mesmerizing and addictive,..and magic...
Maybe it's because Syd Barret's spirit is scattered all over the place and there's a lot of Rick Wright too. Through the years I've been listening so much Waters' and Gilmour's stuff that I needed a change. Relics did it for me, and I wish there were more material from those sesions available. (recommendations?)

Actually, The Number Of The Beast is the album most people claim to be Maiden's best. I also don't see how liking KC's Red and Tull's Aqualung shows that you are in a minority.

I second those four motions times infinity. Especially the first. Oh man, all kinds of love for you for your appreciation of Ummagumma...

Pink Floyd----The Divison Bell
Dream Theater----When Dream and Day Unite
Queen----Sheer Heart Attack
Jethro Tull----Broadsword and the Beast
All excellent albums that earn 5-star ratings in my book.
