Same here. In the 90s, it was all about Images & Words and Awake, but now I prefer the more focused sound of WDaDU. Best vocals on a DT album, too (sorry, fans of James).

I'll try to stick with more "well-known" acts. Some of these might be debatable as "unconventional," but they are generally not ranked as high as other albums in their respective discographies.
David Bowie -- Scary Monsters Scott Walker -- Bish Bosch Vangelis -- Albedo 0.39 Triumvirat -- Old Loves Die Hard The Tangent -- Not as Good as the Book Talking Heads -- Fear of Music Spock's Beard -- The Kindness of Strangers Saga -- Generation 13 Porcupine Tree -- Up the Downstair Pink Floyd -- Ummagumma Le Orme -- Elementi The Moody Blues -- On the Threshold of a Dream Magenta -- Revolutions Little Atlas -- Surface Serene Led Zeppelin -- Presence IZZ -- Everlasting Instant Steve Howe -- Turbulence Hawkwind -- Levitation Glass Hammer -- Shadowlands David Gilmour -- About Face The Flower Kings -- Flower Power Fish -- Yin Eloy -- Chronicles I Electric Light Orchestra -- On the Third Day Dream Theater -- Systematic Chaos Citizen Cain -- Raising the Stones Atoll -- Tertio Arena -- Pride |

it is annoying to me because I worked so hard to get rid of my American accent when speaking German. I almost got rid of it completely. but now my American relatives claim I have acquired a German accent when speaking English

His accent has never bothered me...takes a lot more than that to annoy me. |

Frank Bornemann's heavy German accent is certainly annoying, but fortunately that's the only annoying thing about Eloy

An accent is usually no problem at all for me - its the nasality of his singing voice. Vocals that irritate me quite often gets in the way of my enjoyment.

Jethro Tull "Stand Up"
Nektar "Recycled" Deep Purple "Come and Taste the Band" King Crimson "Lizard" YES "Tales From Topographic Oceans" There are a lot more, but these five are probably the most prominent.

I would argue that Trilogy is ELPs best, or at least it's level with BSS.

I love the desert vibe to it, Its about on par with Moonmadness for me. I think a nod and a wink is also quite good. Haven’t listened to the other 90s albums from them. |

These would be among my favourites by these artists, and are not generally considered to be among their best works.
And then there were three - Genesis 90125 - Yes Trilogy - ELP PXR5 - Hawkwind Still Life - VDGG Caress of Steel - Rush Edited by Blacksword - June 19 2019 at 05:12 |
