Some of us haven't moved on from it and are doing just fine thankyou. I personally don't listen to music when high I prefer watching sports or comedies on TV. Still I love the green, it helps me sleep and I like how I feel after smoking it. I work two jobs for about 11 hours a day 5 days a week but get weekends off and both jobs especially the 8 hour one is very demanding physically. I'm in great shape for my age, no gut, and I still get girls looking at me at 54 and you too can be like me by smoking weed daily.
Yeah that was embarrassing.
And great post Hugues who frequented my area when he lived in Ontario, we may have even crossed paths at some point.
You're definitely my n°1 now!!!
But you are a couple years older than I, soooo I'm sure we crossed paths at concerts and houseparties more than in school.
personally watching sports (or TV in general) while high was never my thing. Beers with the buddies during Sunday NFL season/sessions or the odd NHL game, for sure, but generally no toking.
I kind of stop toking (well nothing definitive), partly because today's weeds are simply too strong for my tastes. That Dutch stuff is not really natural anymore, and sometimes, it can feel like a harder drug that it should be...
Stuff like Hawaiian blue and Lamb's Bread or Columbian Gold of my youth are almost kids stuff compared to the skunks, white widow and other more potent stuff that you can get in them Dutch coffee shops. Finding stuff from out of the country is difficult (unless looking for hash)

Not really Raff... For the first few years (even after the Maani and his laisser-faire attitude was gone), these dugs debates were numerous and should still lie in the depth of the forums

That's odd... I never thought of being high on pot as not-sober

I could actually believe this is a real quote from good'od' Willy
There is actually question whether he really said it, but as you said it fits.

that every album I own sounds better when high.
^this.......
But back in the day, and I'm one of the old guys as most here probably know, The Moody Blues were always great for altered states of listening. We also liked Meddle by Floyd and The Yes Album and Fragile
But just about all of the great albums back then sounded better while in an altered state of consciousness and it wasn't always weed btw.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone. Haquin
Popol Vuh - In den Gärten Pharaohs Amon Düül ll - Yeti Tangerine Dream - Alpha Centauri Älgarnas Trädgård - Framtiden ar ett svävanda Skepp i foränkrat i Forntiden Brian Jonestown Massacre - Methodrone Funkadelic - Maggot Brain The Pretty Things - SF Sorrow Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam The Future Sound Of London - Lifeforms Klaus Schulze - Picture Music Sun Ra - Lanquidity Brainticket - Cottonwood Hill Faust - So Far Gong - You
Basically a lot of the same stuff I usually listen to but then again I am a sucker for psychedelic music. I could list a hundred more now that I think of it. Basically anything found in psych or electronic on PA bar Maurizio Bianchi's Symphony for a Genocide. Careful with that boyo! Might just feck you up for life.

On a fateful day in 1981, we had just gotten back from the record store and fixed a pot of tea and a big pan of Puerto Rican-style nachos.
As finishing the nachos, we decided to spin our latest purchase, "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts."
We couldn't believe what we were hearing. The next day we had to spin it again to verify that the album was as weird as it seemed. Indeed it was, and from that day on we understood the dangers of listening to freshly released groundbreaking music after tea and nachos.
