Mainly the ref calls for the fumble and the hit in the end zone which gave the Gmen 1rst and goal. I know about the OC. The Steelers are getting used to our new one. The good thing is Ben is getting rid of the ball quicker and taking less hits.
Our D came to play and the DBs have improved since Troy left hurt.

Nah we were horribly outmatched, like I said that was a bad call so we really should've had 7 less points still. I mean yikes, that first half I think most of our progress was penalties And the third game now where the offense is really floundering, very concerning. What calls were head scratchers? The giants? Dude our OC is a lunatic. He goes for the bomb when it really makes no sense, he's hideously conservative when they need to be aggressive, sometime we just dont know what hes thinking. I love Eli much as anyone but can't always go for the deep ball...and he still runs it on almost every second down Well least the Redskins lost, hoping Dallas and Philly go down, at least this poor game ends up a wash then.

Whew! Somehow the Steelers pulled it out. Good game JJL, we needed it more to keep pace with Ravens. I scratched my head on a few of those calls, but it will always happen.... Yoi! and Double Yoi!!.....MoM, does that ring any bells up there in western Pa?

wow, not much to say about that one, giants sucked. Worried how that offense is sputtering now. Besides one good drive we did nothing. Eli threw into triple coverage and again that play calling at critical times is just mind boggling. Really can't say they deserved to win this one.

the regular refs blow dude lol the replacements were worse but man, last year we wanted all the refs sent away lol. Was wondering how long before we remembered"oh yeah they are pretty crap" I admit that call was bullsh*t, bens arm was going forward. That was incomplete not a fumble. But hey its happened to all of us. Hope we win big so that call doesn't matter

Wow. Were the regular refs lost in the floods and therefore the replacement refs are calling the Steelers-Giants game? Wow some awful, awful calls all going in favor of the Giants.

Oh I agree MoM, Charles has major talent, just the type of back isn't my preference. Like I said, always boom/bust which is why he needs 30 carries. Eh we've already beaten that horse to death, even I am tired of whining about the Pats system, as annoying as it is. I look to pre 07. In a much more traditional offense Brady was a very good, though unspectacular QB. And he never really had any wideouts. Their "star" was Deion Branch! He also has a great pocket presence. I give the Pats system flak but I can't really knock Brady. Cassel sucks Agreed man, the Steelers are a classy organization and I give em huge kudos for not making an issue of the travel thing. They'd also be killed if they made comments like that publicly but still, how many players would do just that? I do think the game shoulda been moved, but oh well.

JJL - Glad to see you are here and posting, that hopefully means you are ok and have power. I was glad to see they canceled the marathon, that did not sound right from the start... Anyway, Sandy has caused my Steelers to have no hotel so they will be flying out the morning of the game, the last I heard anyway. Don't think that will matter too much since we have so many odd game times and days anymore, Thursdays, flex games, etc... I am not sure which Stiller team will show up against the G-men, I don't think they have won a road game yet, except Cincy (that doesn't count ). Should be a good game! |
People (both in state and out) were freaking out a bit too much it was just a cat 1 storm, except for the coast and the area near the core (Southern NJ) it wasn't gunna be tooo bad. Lost power for 2 days, but hey can't complain when others have lost homes and lives Even there people are still without and may have another week to wait! The really big pain in the ass is this gas shortage... its clogging pretty much all the roads, and having to wait 2 hours to fill up...hopefully gas stations buy generators after this! Yeah, and likewise not sure which "Gints" team will show up against the Stillers...the one that totally owned San Fran, or the one that needed an epic comeback to beat the Buccs...

I will admit, while I didn't decide a record I was with you on the Chiefs MoM. No idea why people thought they'd be good. I was never sold on Cassel, and his play seems to be regressing, despite the same basic offense and great protection.
Cassel's play makes me really want to see Brady outside the Pats system. Wonder where his career would be right now if it wasn't for good ol' Cheatin' Bill.
I don't like Charles either. Small backs...eh. The whole 2 yard, 1 yard, 2 yard, 15 yard thing isn't really my style. Also eventually a few teams will snuff out the big plays leaving you with just a poor game. He may end up with great numbers and some epic plays but I'll take the more solid type back any day.
Now, I do like Jamal Charles. The talent is there but he just might need more than the 17 carries he got in the last 2 games. Romeo is such a terrible coach. Anyway MoM: G men/Steelers time. This one has so me clueless I don't even know. Who the hell never knows that the Giants will give you and the Steelers are down this year, especially on D. Of course ours sucks, so yeah...no idea. Guess it'll be a close/ugly game or a close/shootout. Both teams have a knack for making WTF HOW!? wins so I only pick the Giants since I'm a fan
All I know is that Eli will have a big statistical day. No secondary and no pass rush may have worked with drop-happy Washington and Marvin-Lewis-happy Cincy but I don't see it working in NY. My hope is that Haley continues using a gameplan that takes the pressure off that o-line and that Dwyer is healthy.
Word is not one person working the game will be diverted from the relief effort, and I hope its true. I love my Big Blue but it'd be disgusting to take anyone away from helping after Sandy. That area of Jersey did get hit bad too.
I'd be ok with the refs leaving . The Steelers are being classy about their travel situation but I'm not a fan of them arriving in town just a couple hours before kickoff. Then again, they've been such a bad road team, this year, it doesn't seem like it could hurt. |

Ahem...
Maybe I was a bit too generous. Told you: Romeo Crennel has to be one of, if not the, worst head coaches in NFL history. Upon being questioned why the far-and-away best player on the team (Jamal Charles) was only given 5 carries the entire game, last weekend, Crennel responded, "Now, that I'm not exactly sure, either."
Good god Kansas City's ownership must be complete morons. They fired Haley for that? Yipes

Yeah the Angel is named Tony Romo To be honest I didn't think all those picks were his doing, how about some credit to the Giants defense?? Admittedly that Bryant catch was more or less a TD but rules are the rules and technically he was out. If the situation was reversed I'd be peeved as hell but you can't really argue it. N'arlins got spanked silly in Denver. I can't explain why this defense is so atrocious. Either their mindset has been shot or they cant play without trying to hurt people Arizona/San Fran hopefully won't be too good a game because I will certainly miss it thanks to Sandy. Unless something crazy happens I can't see the game being anything besides the Niners D shredding their O line and John Skelton gets hammered worse than our shoreline.

The Cowboys gave the " ball game" away to the Giants... Those Giants have a angel to protect them.

Oh those Giants...constant heart attacks. But a win is a win. Sadly, my fantasy team was not as lucky.

G MEN! OK they couldn't put their foot on the pedal up 23-0, and then blew that entire lead but a wins a win That was actually pretty ugly but they did enough. Stevie Brown the Safety who's not done anything before now has 5 picks on the season! Love these no namers the Giants pick up and become beasts.

Play all ya want, we all know you are a bitter misanthrope MoM. Now who's ready for some f**kin Bucc on Viking action? oh, this game isn't poised to be very good at all? Well damn
