Maybe so, but it wasn't the case in 1985. E

The Royals deserve some sort of luck. They have not been much of a team since the George Brett days. Management is to blame for that one. They got a nice stadium,a loyal but small fanbase. But sadly they will always be second to the Cardinals in Missouri.

I think this is where we'll see the Royals struggle. We're not going to blow anyone out of the park; so, when it comes down to a pitching duel then the team with the best hitters will prevail. That will probably be the opponent because our bats aren't that swift.

Funny how an incredibly mediocre ball player will go down in baseball history for his lack of hitting skills.

Haha, I was in Detroit during the NFL Draft last year (in the ballpark, incidentally), and everyone went NUTS when they saw that the Lions had spent YET ANOTHER first round pick on a wide receiver.

please, the lions have been bad for 25 years. they wont get better untill they FIRE MILLEN!!! the worst manager in the history of sports. hey, lets draft another wide reciever, forget trying to get anyone who can get the ball to those recievers, or anyone to protect the person who we dont have whos hypothetically attempting to pass the ball. or defense for that matter, lets not forget to not draft any defenseive players this year. lets aim for another first round reciever. thats it. go lions.

The football team isn't THAT bad; they were 8-8, weren't they? That's not really bad, it's really mediocre.

The Tigers got their 1 hit in the top of the 8th, but then gave up 6 runs in the bottom of the 8th and the score went from 1-0 to 7-0. I guess living in a football town with a really bad football team it is only appropriate to lose by a touchdown.

Fresno, eh? I came really close to having to fly out there for a photo shoot this coming week. Instead I'm flying off to Atlanta. E

Hmm, Gavin Floyd was never that good with the Phillies.... Why did they move him to the bullpen in 2005? He was never the same after that. If he lived up to his potential, he and Cole Hamels would be at the top of the Phillies rotation for years.

Gavin "Pink" Floyd has a no-hitter through 6 1/3 inings against the Tigers today. The vaunted Tiger offense is not existent.
Repeat "Pink" Floyd has a no-hitter through 6 1/3 innings. Now let the jinx begin.

Chien-Ming Wang is a BEAST! If Bobby Abreu had caught that ball that was IN HIS GLOVE, Wang would have thrown a no-hitter.
But I'll take a one-run complete game any day.

Tonight I got a glimpse of the future. On the Cards radio station KTRS they said that the Cards will win all four games in S.F. I wonder if these guys got the Delorean from Doc Brown?

So much for predicting the future. Cards go down 5-1 to the mighty Giants. Card fans in Cardinal nation are already saying no problem, they have lost the first game in each series to go on to sweeping the rest.

My friends and I were joking before the season that the Tigers were so good they would be the first baseball team to go undefeated (virtually impossible and will most likely never happen). We were beginning to wonder if they might become the first team to go all year without a win. Their magic number is now 159 or something like that.
