The JFK assassination is one of the most popular conspiracy theories because there were so many unanswered questions about the actual shooting. Could one shooter get off the number of shots fired in just a few seconds using a single-shot bolt action rifle and hit a moving target?
Is the "single bullet theory" (magic bullet) believable?
Did that "magic bullet" exit JFK's throat, hit Connally in the chest and then the arm and then the thigh?
By the way, that bullet was not dug out of Connally's thigh by a doctor. It was found on the gurney, laying next to Connally after he arrived at the hospital.
There were many other questions about the shooting but these are enough to raise suspicion.
The only person who could have answered some of the questions that are still in doubt was conveniently shot and killed by Jack Ruby.
The Oswald shooting raises more questions.
How did Jack Ruby, a private citizen with no credentials and no connection to any law enforcement agency, get into the parking garage, with a gun, and walk up to Oswald and shoot him point blank in the chest? Is that the kind of security they had guarding one the most important prisoners of the twentieth century? That alone raises questions.

BTW, the answer at the time was that Ruby was able to get into the parking garage because he knew some of the cops on duty. They were regular customers at his strip club.

The only one I think that really holds any water, is the JFK conspiracy. But the Roswell one isa coverup
for things the gov't are testing out in secret.

I don't know, I'm not taking any side and I understand that it's a very sensitive subject for US citizens, but there were so many weird elements in the whole 9/11 thing.... it still smells rotten to me. A completely different case than any other "normal" terrorist attack.

Oh, come on, we all know that the people of the CIA are a bunch of clowns.
Keep in mind that these people tried to kill Fidel Castro with tricked cigars.

I go with JFK second shooter, since it's plausible...

Anyway, there's a long list of theories that dates back from the Crusades and includes Columbus' travels, French Revolution, Spanish-American War, sinking of Titanic, Hitler's survival, etc. I like to read about them but I believe none.

I did not read through all the thread, maybe this one has already been mentioned:

Chemtrail (experimental spraying in the atmosphere to manipulate the weather, obviously not for humanitary purposes such as benefiting agriculture or helping african countries with severe draught, but on the interest of businesses like energy and insurances).

I have no doubt that there are things going on which would make us sick if we knew about them.
The most real conspiracies are probably those for which there is no conspiracy theory around them and it's likely that setup conspiracy theories are spread now and then on purpose so they can be solidly refuted strenghtening the popular perception that all conspiracy theories are just hoaxes made up by lunatics, deviating the attention from cases which may have some truth behind.

With confirmed facts such as the multiple experiments on humans (such as the Guatemala case) we have evidence that there have been times (and not so distant in the past) when nasty secret projects were going on of which the population was not aware of.

It seems naive to believe that it should be any different right now.

Resurfacing this thread with something I saw recently that disturbed me...

Yes its more 911 conspiracy theorum but this is rather fascinating.

The section at 12 minutes about the Pentagon theory is most fascinating...

I also wondered are there are any new conspiracy theories?

I heard some people even believe that the people in Jonestown did not even take the cyanide laced Kool-Aid but were all actually shot and there bodies dragged back to the commune to make it look like mass suicide.

I am definitely of the opinion that they mass suicided similarly to the Heavens gate suicide. But those guys were trying to "leave their vehicles" (bodies) to meet up with aliens. Sad but True...

They are not conspiracy theories. They are / were news.

Wink

No mention of Keith Richards killing Brian Jones. Or how there were only two (long dead) witnesses to Jim (Morrison's) "death."

Oops, these are music related. Where do I think I am? Shocked

Back to reality. i.e. turn one's back to reality. Confused

Never heard of that one... I guess there is not much news on this sort of thing in Australia.

Nah, too mainstream. All anyone ever talks about is that one!

There are people though that do believe the guvment is drugging the flu shots to either make us sick, or track our thoughts or some sh*t.
To be fair, it was at school and those central Pennsylvanian natives are just paranoid....farmers ya knowTongue

Reminded me of other conspiracies like the government invented crack and/or AIDS to wipe out certain groups of people.

So you're saying that the gecko's living in the tree outside my apartment don't really exist?  Shocked

I voted for the JFK theory as that is probably one I'm most interested in and one which I think at least in part may have some (note the word some) validity.  I think there may have been more to that than has been revealed.

Why are "aliens and UFOs exist" put together?  I'm living in Texas.  I see aliens every day (and I'm not talking about the native Texans who may in fact be from another planet Wink).  Really, I think in this universe with trillions of planets, the odds of aliens actually existing are pretty high.  UFOs on the other hand.  As Don Henley put it "would they scream across the universe just to get McNuggets?"

What in hell are you talking about man??  UFOs are unidentified flying objects for crying out lout, of course there are objects that fly which cannot be identified.  I see illegal aliens around every day and treat them with the same respect I would anyone else.
