El Greco for me his finest 80 minutes. Absolutely awesome, but so is HAH, China, Spiral, Opera Sauvage plus many more. I am perplexed he is in prog related, not that it bothers me.

Batty's monologue is one of the greatest things ever, and Rutger Hauer improvised it....
I have to confess that I started exploring his music after Blade Runner
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I won't say what his best is, but I vote for Hypothesis.  That, Dragon and others are Progressive albums as far as I'm concerned.

He has put out a lot of albums.  Those two you mention are my favorites for certain.  I think if those were his only two, he wouldn't be in prog related.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I had to cut out some possible choices because of the limit to 25.
Vangelis is only prog-related. My intention with this post is to restart the discussion and get in touch with Vangelis fans. My choice is Heaven and Hell followed closely by Albedo 0.31
