No, because it's the BEST technology ever.
And you hear it on a transparent system.
Five gold layers on the speakers plug.
Here's what i have:

Hey karnevil, just upgrade my Jolida 302 yesterday.
It's a huge upgrade, i can't believe my ears.
The WBT plugs bring an incredible transparency.
Bypassed the source selector, volume and balance so it's now a pure power amp.
Moreover, i've changed the Speakers connectics and the RCA by WBT topline with the new Silver Nextgen RCA.
It's simply the abolute best RCA plug available in the world.
Nextgen SILVER-The ABOLUTE MUST RCA
This is what i put on my amp
The new principle:

Record a vynil or radio on this one, or simply play a good pre-recorded k7 (the must is to get an analog one):
Anyway, it detroys ALL the current cd players.
In your opinion...
Which wins? [;)

Tape decks are only good for getting down music ideas or for taping a song off the radio.

the only thing that really annoys me with respect to sound quality is
digital compression distortion, when you get that wierd subtle flangy
effect on the highs, like cymbals and such.. i can tolerate record
crackling.. its part of what gives records their character, imo, plus
we all know that records are much, much warmer than cds

I consider myself a pseudo-audiophile. I can't afford audiophile-quality records on my meager $6.50/ hour at Arby's (yes, I am a student), but I still prefer really thin vinyl (if not 180 g) to CD purely for listening purposes.

Not bad, except the sony tuner (try a Denon, there are
excellent budget tuner).
Audio analogue is real average on CD, better choose a Nad, Naim, Rega, Arcam or creek in this price range.
I don't know your speakers's brand.

sort of in the category but i just won't make the leap
into serious high end cause my suspicion is that
there is a serious law of diminishing returns at work
as you invest more and more.
My system's strictly middle ground and I'll keep it that
way. I occasionally suffer from bouts of upgrade-itis -
currently centred on my awful speakers and ageing
cd player.
at the moment tho
Linn LP12 with Basik arm and Sumiko Blue Point
Moving Coil cartridge into
Musical Fidelity XLPS phoo stage into
Myriad MP100 power amp
Myriad MA250 pre amp
Marantz CD63SE Mk11 CD player
Some kind of generic Sony receiver (not a big radio
listener)
RTL TDL3 speakers
cabling's pretty generic though I'd like someting
decent like Nordost Flatline Gold for speakers
and Black Knights for interconnects
I'd love to upgrade to a set of System Audio 1280s for
speakers. these are Danish, slim, beautiful and
sound better than you would think - about E1600
And I haven't decided on CD yet, though I have seen
a choice Audio Analogue for about E700 second
hand....
