I think this line-up would be a bit better.

Guitar/Keyboards:Robert Fripp
Bass:Jonas Reingold
Drums:Zoltan Csorsz
Percussion:Hasse Bruniusson
Violin and Keyboards:David Cross
Woodwind Instruments:Theo Travis

Addition Musicians on some songs:
Bass/Backing Vocals(and main vocals on a couple of songs): John Wetton
Main Vocals and Flute: Simone Rossetti or Peter Gabriel
Keyboards: Thomas Johnson(of Anglagard)
Lyrics: Peter Sinfield

What do you think of this line-up?

I have the best one!

Bass/Vocals - John Wetton
Drums - Carl Palmer
Guitar - Steve Howe

hmmm...that's a lot of egos. Keyboards should be someone lesser known but proficient with a prog resume.
Oh, I know!

Keyboards - Geoff Downes

Oh man, that's a can't miss best prog super group ever.  Its amazing what I can think of in the heat of the moment. Maybe I could get Roger Dean to do some killer album covers.

Wait a second, the original post said 2 guitars. Man, if only I could figure out how to get Howe and Hackett together. We could all die happy after hearing the incredible prog they would collaborate on.

Maynard of Tool on Lyrics and singing of course. Danny of Tool on drums. Than Robert Fripp, with Steven Wilson on guitar, and Wilson would be second vocalist and assist with writing.Bass would be none other than LES CLAYPOOL! Marillions Mark Kelly would handle all soundscapes and keys.

I could come up with an endless list.

Vocals - Mikael Akerfeldt/Devin Townsend/Cedric Bixler-Zavala/Peter Gabriel (A few of my favourite vocalists. Covers most of the ranges, and Peter Gabriel's there because his voice fills my heart with happiness.)

Guitars - John Petrucci/Robert Fripp

Lap steel/Haken Continuum - Jordan Rudess

Keys - Kevin Moore/Ryo Okumoto

Bass - Dave Meros

Drums - Mike Portnoy (Been re-listening to the early Dream Theater stuff recently. This man is THE drummer.)

And then all of Gentle Giant to play any other instrument they bleedin' want to play. And John Myung on cello.
All your hearts now seem so far from me,
It hardly seems to matter now.

I guess it would be closest to this:

John McLaughlin and Steve Hackett-guitars
Michael Giles-drums
John Wetton-bass and vocals
Herbie Hancock-keyboard
Heaven's made a cesspool of us all.
