United Artists  - as Welsh as the Argentine national rugby team.....................

What about John Cale - son of Ammanford -  Karl Jenkins (Nucleus, Soft Machine, Amadeus) - both played in the National Youth Orchestra of Wales at the same time in their teens?

Good space rock from Sons of Selina

And Tom Jones turning his voice to the blues in a big way shouldn't be neglected - check out his single release backed by New Model Army (Gimme Shelter) and  particularly numbers done by Jeff Beck with Tom Jones in part of the  the TV film Red White and Blues directed by Mike Figgis (part of the Scorsese produced Blues TV series 18 months ago).

And what was the band  who named one of the albums after a tiny little harbour a kilometre from one of the best beachs on the UK coast, Barafundel?

Mebbe someain tink Gnidrolog Welsh cos o' th' quare band name.
Acturely tha' cum aybit dis way: its a transpoositioon o' letters inna family name Goldring (wiv th'addition o' extra "o").

By th' by, Collin Goldring playit recorders on Yes' "Your Move".

Maister Stewart Goldring's favorite Gnidrolog lyric be:
"Sightless I am, cadaver born,
By critic's pen, my task is torn.
Remnants that once were principals, now but rags
In a Pauper's tomb."

Aye, me task is torn - soundits akin tae Maani joust annhilatin' me wondrous post on Engerlish Mannerisms in Prog.
Whilst allowing Belva's visual pornography free reign.

Curious cove, dis moderator o' youren.

At least one website claims Gnidrolog were Welsh,
but the internet is often wrong.

Budgie, Badfinger, John Cale, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci,
Mary Hopkin, Karnataka (some call 'em prog...), all
Welsh.

Ivor the Engine, Welsh....

super furry animals are one of my favourite bands. As well as Manic Street Preachers. Stereophonics and Feeder are ok. I can probably think of more on another day, but not right now.

I dont know the answer to the Man question, and I'll look out for yer albums if I ever go to a second hand record store.

A Farewell To kings was also recorded in Wales at Rockford, There are the sound of Welsh sparrows on the album. I ont think the birds realise that they are Welsh tho. Probably immigrants!
