i am not really bothered about wether the script is good or wether the acting is cruddy! as long as it is an entertaining film then who cares!

Hamill had his faults (poor acting and didn't age well, for instance), but IMAO both the young and teen Anakin were truly poorly cast...I was hoping they'd replace the irritatingly one-dimensional Hayden C. for part 3, but no such luck. Hopefully he's had some training since episode 2.
I also had trouble taking Samuel L. and Liam seriously in a Star Wars setting (though it was no worse than Mr. Colt 45 as Lando), but was pleasantly surprised how well Ewan did as a young Obi-wan.
Is it my imagination, or does Ian MacDiarmid actually look younger with every new episode?

I was absolutely dumbfounded when I checked the compiled reviews on Yahoo for this movie. It seems the critics actually LIKE IT!!! I don't think any other SW movie has had that distinction, and certainly not the last two. I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to wait a couple of weeks.

The acting was better in part II. Look at Anakin who is VERY WELL played as a puber who is badly raised: having no morals, still being a kid, trying to be good but failing. And the script is woow... Pay attention to what political scheming Palpatine is up to, and I ask you after seeing part III where all of his plots unfold, is that story not DEEP? Far more so than the old trilogy; old man finds chosen one, chosen one trains and fails, then trains some more and succeeds. Sure the athmosphere was good, but so is it in part II, it's just different. And so it should be, the times were different!
I stick with the idea part II is the best yet and some people can't understand that because they desperately want the same. Nope, no progression.

I hope it's better than Episode I and II. Episode I was pretty weak, and II was a big step up, and from what I've heard, III is supposed to be the best of all the new ones. But still, nothing can touch the originals.

God, I can't wait. I'm a Star Wars fanatic from waaay back, but like many, Episodes I & II were highly disappointing to me, especially II. How can anyone say the acting was good in that movie?!?! It's among the worst I've ever seen in a big budget movie. Not that the first three movies had great acting (Exhibit A: Mark Hamill) but it was tolerable. However, I have very high hopes for Pt. III, but I hate crowded theaters, so I'm gonna wait a couple of weeks. Oh the torture!

Pt 2 is awful, really bad. watched it again with friends the other night and it is embarrassing. the acting is dreadful and the script is dire. Only the last 30 minutes is worth watching. Lucas can dream up a good story, but the man cannot construct a good script or direct particularly well.
Empire is the best film IMO. Lucas didn't direct it and he only wrote the story for that one, not the script.
I'm still looking forward to seeing Pt 3 though.

i disagree with the first theory. From the new movies, part I is much and much worse than part II, which in factis even better than parts 4,5&6. Why you ask? Better story, more believable acting, fleshed out characters, all that in a film that isn't as long-winded yet still not too fast-paced.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the first three movies, and think they're awesome, biut according to me, part II is just a masterpiece. Just wait till I've seen III.

I think most of people agree that the old movies are better than the new ones but...
Chapter III is much better than the first and second
What do you think?
