Black is tied with White for me. Grey is the runner-up. I need to think more about it... How about Pink? Hot Rats/In The Court Of The Crimson King/Per Un Amico/In The Land Of Grey And Pink/Birds Of Fire

I avoided using prog-related or proto-prog bands for fear that Dean would move my poll.

Just for the record I don't move that many threads and to my knowledge I've never moved one of yours Rob - I just defend and support those decisions made by my fellow admins in the thread moving department.
Anyway ... black, grey or blue... it's down to that one weak album in each category to act as the decider - which one could I live with the most? ... okay Blue. | As with you being a wizard out to get me, this has become something of a running gag to amuse me.
Just go with it.

Interesting poll! I appreciate the effort you put into it, Epignosis. | Thanks. I love creative polls, and I haven't made one in quite a while.

Red, but I agree with Rico. Each group has at least one weak album. Also, Red has two of my favorite albums ever, so that's enough for me.

This is a poll that took all afternoon to make. If you don't vote, I'll be crushed.
So vote, damn it.
Anyway, here's how it works: I grouped relatively random (but mostly high rated) albums based on the dominant color of the cover artwork. Each color group, therefore, is a mixed bag. If you only got to enjoy the five albums listed, which would you choose?
White Part the Second (maudlin of the Well) The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (Genesis) The Wall (Pink Floyd) OK Computer (Radiohead) The Snow Goose (Camel)
Yellow Nursery Cryme (Genesis) We’re Only in it For the Money (Frank Zappa) Balletto di Bronzo, Il (Ys) Rajaz (Camel) Three of a Perfect Pair (King Crimson)
Orange Kansas (Kansas) Third (The Soft Machine) Remedy Lane (Pain of Salvation) Amputechture (The Mars Volta) Dawn (Eloy)
Red Discipline (King Crimson) Still Life (Opeth) In Praise of Learning (Henry Cow) Suffocating the Bloom (Echolyn) Quella Vecchia Locanda (Il Tempo Della Gioia)
Brown Sleeping in Traffic Part II (Beardfish) Signify (Porcupine Tree) Second Life Syndrome (Riverside) Songs from the Woods (Jethro Tull) Still Life (Van der Graaf Generator)
Green Close to the Edge (Yes) Tales of Mystery and Imagination- Edgar Allen Poe (The Alan Parsons Project) If I Could Do it All Over Again, I’d Do it All Over You (Caravan) A Tab in the Ocean (Nektar) The Missing Piece (Gentle Giant)
Blue Fear of a Blank Planet (Porcupine Tree) Ocean (Eloy) Trespass (Genesis) Phaedra (Tangerine Dream) Tales from Topographic Oceans (Yes)
Violet H to He Who Am the Only One (Van der Graaf Generator) Moving Waves (Focus) Ziltoid the Omniscient (Devin Townsend) Spirals in Hyperspace (Ozric Tentacles) Magnification (Yes)
Gray Relayer (Yes) Permanent Waves (Rush) Blackwater Park (Opeth) Minstrel in the Gallery (Jethro Tull) Chupacabras (Phideaux Xavier)
Black Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd) Red (King Crimson) Moving Pictures (Rush) Godbluff (Van der Graf Generator) The Hazards of Love (The Decemberists)
