![]() The most impressive things about this picture are the Zappa and Bowie material on the wall. |

Jimmy Page always used one live on the mid-section of 'Whole Lotta Love' as well.

Theremin!! I wondered what it was that Joe Bonamassa was playing his guitar over when I saw him on tour last year! He uses it on his new album "The Ballad Of John Henry" and also during a section of Dazed And Confused he plays on stage. |

I never knew they did either, but I was lucky to stumble across it in a pile of electronics in a friend's bedroom who was pulling a part old electronics to make into artworks. Lucky I came across it before he pulled it apart! I've done some reasearch on it, but not much comes up. I think it was made in the early 80's. Sounds nice though! And yeah, those Behringer pedals are great! I only have the one, but it sounds really good. The plastic casing seems a bit dodgey, but easily overlooked for the price and sound. |

Ohh, I forgot to ask about the Parametric EQ. I didn't even know Ibanez made those pedals, wow. Looks really cool. Do you know what year it was made? You buy Behringer pedals too? I own a Behringer NR-100 Noise Reducer, works just as good as the Boss equivalent except I only paid 1/4 of the price of the Boss pedal ![]() |

Well, perhaps, but the general consensus on these amps is that they cover a lot of ground, which is of course sometimes expected when you pay this much for 3 channel boutique tube amp. They do everything from pretty damn clean tones, vintage-y over drives, to full on saturated gain. Obviously the main target is towards high gain lead guitarists but they could be used for anything from jazz to balls to the wall metal I suspect (although the amp voicing is more suited towards lead guitarists rather than technical death riffery) Hell, I'd buy a Bogner if they weren't insanely expensive in Australia ![]() |

This man owns a Bogner Ecstasy. This means this man has practically owned every one else in this thread. Those amps are soooooooooooooooo insanely good. Easily the best piece of guitar amplification anyone on Progarchives owns to date, surely. |

Finally, here's a family pick with my basses:
![]() A little blurry, but I finally managed to get the lighting good. From left to right: Ibanez Roadstar II RB630. Nothing fancy, a well-built late 80s P-bass copy that I got mostly because it's so light very nice to play. Traded it for an Ibanez ATK 600 I had, which was a much better sounding bass (fantastic triple coil pick-up with active electronics and tons of sustain), but I didn't like the neck and it was very heavy. I've thought about changing the pick-up and pots in this one, but I haven't got around to it yet. Peavey Millennium 4. Older US-built model, not the current cheap BXP series. I won't say much about this one other than that it's a ridiculously good bass for its price (they aren't made anymore, but you should be able to pick one up used at around $200-$500) Fender Classic series Jazz Bass. Yes, it's Mexico-built, but the quality is a lot better than the Standard series. Beautiful instrument, great value for money. Everyone knows what the J-bass is so I'm not going to say much more. |

And also, actually, latest gearz:
![]() Photo of me playing my Hagstom Swede at our last gig (my melodic art rock sort of band named Vangarde). My Roland JC160 and pedal board can be seen. ![]() Effects, amps and guitar sprawled over my floor. The amp under the desk is my latest beauty! It's an American made 50s Cordovox tube amp, meant to be for an electric piano accordian, but it sounds really nice with guitar, especially with my Lehle P-Split, splitting my guitar signal into both amps simultaneously to make some sweet sounds. Sounds really nice having my tape echo (from the Headrush) going through the Cordovox by itself, it sounds very warm and analoguey. Also, the Cordovox has 66 tubes inside(!), see picture below for reference. ![]() Edited by tremulant - December 23 2008 at 18:48 |

Awesome, will do. We've started to some work on it, though a fair bit of stuff still needs to be put together. We've written half a track with the three guitarists, but one of the bassists just went to America and won't be back for a month, and the other one has been hard to organize a jam with. And lastly, a drummer who is good enough for what we want is still being looked out for. But it is coming together and we will likely have something to show by March (fingers crossed)!

![]() My bass, a Fender Squire Vintage Jazz Bass. I use an Ampeg BA115 amplifier. It's actually quite good for a Squire and an excellent intermediate instrument. I'd keep it even if I got a higher quality instrument. I've also got an old Casio keyboard as well. I'll try to post a picture later. Edited by Jozef - December 12 2008 at 12:04 |
