Yes I do own a theremin, it's only a simple one which only allows control of pitch rather than pitch and volume but it makes all the right noises. I think every musician should own one simply to freak other people out. Wink

I was thinking along the lines of Theremin based weirdness in combination with some berserk Gong playing Wink

All I've got w.r.t. percussion is a small (9") djembe. If I had to choose in your case, I'd say go for the bongo's. The Djembe allows me to play along with some of my music, but the hembra and macho of a set of bongo's allow you to add more melody to your rhytmic play. A single gong doesn't mean much to me, unless you want to integrate it into a small version of Neil Pearts drum & percussion rig?

I've decided to add some percussion to my instrument collection but I'm not sure whether to get a small (14") gong or some bongos. Confused

Has anyone here owned/played both of these and if so which would you recommend?

Thanks in advance
