I'm not so sure about Ingrid Pitt... That date would probably suck.

I'm not so wild about Ingrid Pitt myself. But you've reminded me of another actress I'm rather enamoured of; Madeline Smith. She was in various Hammer horror films (including a rather infamous scene with Ingrid Pitt in a film called 'The Vampire Lovers'...) and most of the TV shows I watch.

Salmacis, who was that girl who starred in a few Hammer Horrors (I also believe she was in a Confessions film too)?
She was amazing!
Ingrid Pitt!

None of the above (okay, maybe Bisset), but rather an earlier era's more lush, curvaceous standard of womanly beauty :
Lucky cave men!
Lucky photographers!
That's the classy, beautiful, buxom Racquel Welch, boys -- she troubled the dreams of many an adolescent in her day! Hubba Hubba!

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy.

Well I like 60s/70s action films and television. That's my main genre, though I love westerns and old 60s/70s British horror films (the Hammer films studio). Not diminishing Scarlett Johannson at all- I just never seen any of the films she appeared in.
I'm also rather fond of Diana Rigg's replacement in The Avengers, Linda Thorson, who played Tara King in that show.

i'm not sure what's the meaning of that expression here; anyway, scarlett's played in sofia coppola's "lost in translation" (one of my all-time favourites), in woody allen's "match point" (a masterpiece) and the film about vermeer that i already mentioned (great one, also). i don't think the incidental hollywood crap "the island" diminishes anything of her great actress stature.

Not to mention Ghost World.

I've no idea who that is... I mean curvy, but not obese. Like Jane Fonda in Barbarella for instance.

Scarlet Johanssen is too thin for me. I like a bit of curve and shape to my women.

Yes Scarlet Johansson is beautiful too. Can't say I ever watched any film with her in though. More of a cult film/TV type myself...

Ooooh, Diana Rigg in The Avengers... oooh oooh oooh! Perfect. Oh and Jane Fonda in her day (Barbarella anyone?).

Oh yeah, Keira Knightley too for me. The closest modern day equivalent to Diana Rigg.

Can I jump on the Keira Knightley bandwagon... so to speak
Especially as she was dressed in the otherwise risible 'King Arthur' - just a few leather straps, some blue paint, and a surly expression.

Well my own personal choice would undoubtedly have been Diana Rigg, circa 'The Avengers'. Truly beautiful, intelligent and a lot of class. And she was (is) a great actress. Qualities lacking from a fair few actresses today.
