That's true - I had one before I got my MP3 player, but people give you funny looks on the train to work when you get a CD player out. It's now the equivalent of a wind-up gramophone with a horn. LOL

I have a Creative Zen Micro (5 GB) and it works properly since I bought it a year ago. The software is very good and useful.

I took the decision not to get an MP3 player with a huge capacity for this very reason. I paid £80 for a Samsung one with 2Gb. It takes around 30 albums which is enough for a couple of weeks listening to and from work. Every few days I load up the albums I fancy listening to and delete the ones I have listened to. So long as it lasts a couple of years I'll be happy with it.

My whole collection is more than 80GB ... all legal! I don't even try to get a player that can store all of it ... with USB2 it only takes a few moments to transfer an album.

Yeah, IF I buy another mp3 player it should be 60GB preferably, because the main reason I have one is to keep my entire collection portable. plus I just got a stereo head unit for my car that takes an auxiliary input. If I wasted all that cash I'll be pissed.

otherwise, I'll just burn mp3 CDs.

Sadly, at this point in my life I don't think i could function properly without a good mp3 player with large capacity. Any suggestions?

Get a Creative player - they're compatible with Janus based services (Napster, Yahoo, Urge). I have a 6GB Creative Zen Micro and it works flawlessly!

I'm sorry to hear about your iPod dude.

They may look pretty but I don't like them. I don't think they make these anymore, but I have a Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra 40GB (whoo). I've had it about 16 months and aside from the occasional hiccup in which I think the hardrive reconfigures, it's fine. It's a bit chunky and not pretty to look at, but at the time, it held twice as much stuff for almost half the price of an iPod. Plus, it has a much sturdier design and it's slipcase is much more effective than the flimsy iPod leather pouch.

I have a Creative mp3 player, it's really great. I holds photos and 8gbs of music. I don't think I would ever get an Ipod, it's a huge pain in the ass to delete stuff according to my friends that have them.
