My favourite what? Bass player? Singer? Or brilliant-musician-and-all-round-good-egg?

Chris Squire is the best bassist on the list. He also sings pretty well too. Roger Waters plays bass and sings. He does neither as well as Chris Squire. Yet Waters has created some of the best music on the planet (aside from Floyd, his 'Amused To Death' is stunning).

For this reason I gotta go for Roger Waters

Well, he may not be prog, but my vote goes to the mighty tonsils and skillful fingers of Glenn Hughes, the Voice of Rock himself. After him, Lake and Sinclair, then many people's pet hate, Geddy Lee himself.

This is my first poll, so I apologise if I got something wrong. I also apologise for the limited choice, but I listed those bassists/vocalists whom I know best, so there may be quite a few important names missing. Some of the names may not be considered prog, though they are quite well-known and respected musicians. Feel free to add your own choices, if you like.
