"Then" is absolutely awesome. I love the symphonic aspect of the track. "The Lamia," is one of my favorite Genesis deep cuts ever. Absolutely beautiful song, definitely needs more notoriety.

Great selection MortSahlFan! Love Chicago VII. Here's a cut from one of their more famous works. The song overall isn't a deep cut, but seeing as it was split into 6 movements on the remaster, some parts are super under appreciated.

 "Open Secrets" is my favorite song on HYF. Another fine deep cut from that album is "Prime Mover," warts and all.Another deep (post-Waters) Floyd cut I dig is "Yet Another Movie" from AMLoR.

Love to see the two Genesis cuts you mentioned. "Harlequin" is beautiful and one of my favorites off Nursery Cryme. I've never seen "Just a Job To Do" mentioned anywhere and man am I happy to see it. Great insight with that pick dude. "Arriving UFO," is also a joy to listen to, but I was a little taken aback by "Luficer Sam," I'm not a huge fan. Overall a great list though.

This list is pretty deep. Im not very familiar with a lot of these, but one I do know is "Inside Out." Recently I actually bought the rare "Spot the Pigeon," EP with other Genesis b-sides and singles such as "Pigeon" and "Match of the Day." I got it for barely $10 and its one of my favorite records. I will definitely listen to these and expand my own list :)

I completely agree with this right here. A lot of songs on this thread are just songs that are straight up under appreciated. Great take on "Time Table," by the way. I absolutely love this song, and I'm seeing it live next month at Hackett's 50th anniversary Foxtrot tour.

I'm enjoying this thread immensely! I haven't even thought about some of these songs in years, please keep it up!
For the sake of PA, I'd suggest that our "deep cuts" are whatever we wish them to be, vs. what commercial streaming services dictate. In other words, songs that tend to be under-appreciated or un-mentioned for some reason or another. Take "Time Table" from Foxtrot. This song seems to draw faint praise on PA, but I find it to be a very charming nod to England's past, with some clever lyrics that tie the past to the future.

I can see the argument that these are all deep cuts to non-prog fans, but in the context of this forum, a lot of these aren't "deep cuts." Epitaph, Trilogy, The Barbarian, and Jacob's Ladder (even Cheyenne Anthem) are pretty well known even to non-prog fans in the rock community. I do love to see the Genesis deep cuts you mentioned here (such as lilywhite lilith, grand parade, lady lies, and culdesac) and even South side of the Sky is awesome. I think the songs you mention here that stick out to me the most are "The Wall," and "Witch Hunt," which 100% need more recognition as staples of their respective artists' catalogs.

Indoor Games! awesome cut that my brother actually introduced me to. I thought it sounded a bit ridiculous with the horns when I first heard it, but I've grown on it a lot. "No Quarter," is another great selection. I'm not familiar with that version though so i'll check it out. Same goes for "Careful with that Axe," which is also love but I don't know that version.
