I checked out Pearls Before Swine on Wikipedia first before including them in the poll and their music genres are listed as Psychedelic Folk, Folk Rock & Psychedelic Rock,  so I guessed no one would mind me including them in this Psychedelic Rock poll. I agree with you though - I think Pearls Before Swine are more Psych-Folk than Psychedelic Rock. Smile

It's a good thing they didn't both team up with Vanilla Fudge as that would have been a bit sickly. LOL

I've listened to all of Pearls Before Swine's albums, including Tom Rapp's solo albums and I enjoyed all ten albums. Thumbs Up

You were the reason that Fever Tree and Pearls Before Swine are both now included in my new Psychedelic Rock poll. Smile

Were they both? I've listened to Fever Tree streaming, but have none in my physical collection. Also remembered that I can say the same of Grateful Dead (well, also heard Grateful Dead from other's music collections).

I thought it was you who mentioned Fever Tree in my first Psychedelic Rock poll, but maybe I was wrong. I know someone mentioned them anyway. Smile

I realised almost as soon as I posted my first poll that I'd neglected to include the Grateful Dead, but I'm grateful I remembered to include them this time. Smile

EDIT: By the way, I did some of my favourite psych tracks from 1967 and 1968 in this poll with youtube links, which you might well have noticed already. I just mention in case you might find something there that you don't yet know: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=116344

Never thought Spirit was underrated as I've seen plenty of love for Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus and the debut in my time. It's very hard for me to choose just one, but I'm in a Pearls Before Swine kind of mood right now. In fact, I've put on Balaklava for my listening pleasure.

That's maybe why I didn't realise you can't vote when you're a newbie, because I'd already posted over 40 times in my first four days here . Tongue

Randy California's band Spirit aren't underrated by me. I have their first five albums in a box set and they're still sounding great after all these years. Thumbs Up

Randy California had the most American-sounding name I've ever heard! Tongue

Oh, okay, I didn't realise you weren't allowed to vote when you're still a newbie. I don't recall not being able to vote when I was still a newbie here only last month.

I think you need to get to 40 posts ( or points? )  before you can vote.

Thanks! Thumbs Up AZF suggested I should have included Pink Floyd in my first Psychedelic Rock poll, and now that they're included, I'm predicting they'll win this poll. They've already picked up two votes in the first couple of hours.
