I received both in the mail this morning, so far I've only listened to half of Heim (the live CD). I'll let you all know what I think once I've had a change to work my way through everything. |

Happy to see that Omega Massif was added to the archives. I figured that it was just a matter of time.

I think CoL's album Salvation is their best so far.

^ I will give them a listen.
Cult of Luna's most recent album is intense! Are they're other albums better, cause this album isn't ranked as high.

So the other night I went to a Jesu show, and the opening band was Yakuza, I was extremelly impressed, they play post-metal but the interesting thing is they use a saxaphone, They are already on the site: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2955 Does anyone else know of these guys? |

I listened to in the absence of truth for the first time today on my friends iPod.
Well, quite frankly, I was a bit disapointed.
The first and third song have Tool written all over it, and if I want to listen to Tool, I can just pop in lateralus any time. I HATED the drumming! The simple druming style of oceanic and panopticon is what makes the music so special and atmospherical, now we have mr. Danny Carey wannabe introducing the album with an obnoxious Tom Tom/Double bass jam session.
Well, I liked how the the vocals have detensified, and intensified, and the guitar melodies are still sweet, but this just isnt the Isis I'm used to. Maybe with some time the album will grow on me.

^^^ They released a single and are going to release a 2CD compilation as well November 6. The compilation consist of 1 CD of unreleased material and another will be an acoustic show that they made for their close friends and relatives. The DVD will be out in Nov 20 too.
A great song indeed, but I got confused and mentioned it as my favorite when in reality my favorite is Motherf*cker = Redeemer pt.1 . Still Rocket Falls On Rocket Falls is great. Heck! all the songs on the album are wonderful! |

Jody, go check out the poll where they're saying that, and educate them what post is.
Cham, you were right! rockets falling on rockets is easily the best song on yangui! It literally reminds me of a classical composition, but electrified!

I'm disappointed - neither of these players are avant-garde! Al di Meola.
haha i know. but the poll itself is avant-garde
|

Guys, check out Ganaon, pretty heavy and intense stuff.
A bit past Isis in both the speed catagory and brutal catagory, but arent as drenched with emotion. Still, Very good!
