I want one too, man. The amazing live spectacle of the Incident must be recorded and/or filmed for the ages! It really does sound so much better live (not that I don't like the album version, it was easily my favourite record of last year, and I do not get the hate directed at it). Please record the Albert Hall or NYC gig PT.

I really need to get a job to keep up with SW.

Also, has anybody heard any news about a live recording of The Incident? Not that I've heard anything, but I really want one after watching some bootlegs on Youtube

I'd best start saving up for all this splurging now! LOL

A new no-man would be great as well; and I'd KILL for the RAH gig to be made into a DVD/Bluray.

That is a very cool free gift! Pretty sure I would have been in the first 2,000 too.

WOW! I really hope they extend the free CD edition until the end of August; I still haven't gotten mine yet.
SW pre-everything?! Should be really cool. Clap

Steven Wilson wrote this message on Facebook today:

Hi folks - so the free gift with the Insurgentes double DVD pre-order is almost certainly going to be a CD of archive SW material, pre-PT, pre-No-Man, pre-everything. When I was a teenager I was experimenting with all sorts of things, including songwriting, electronic music, psychedelic and progressive music..etc.. and made hours and hours of primitive recordings. Some of this fed in to the early PT cassette releases, but I've never actually tried to compile a whole disc of music from this era. Normally I wouldn't let any of this music out of the archive, since it's pretty primitive and amateurish in many ways, but since the film talks about how I started to make music, and has a few clips of my early efforts, it seemed logical to extend this idea through to this bonus disc. Please don't expect anything of mind blowing musical quality of importance! Just a bit of historical context. I need to compile this when I get back from the current PT US tour, so I don't know exactly how much music will be on there yet, but I hope at least 30-40 minutes or so. The original 2,000 copies of the disc that were going to have this free gift with them sold out very quickly, but now that we know that this archive CD will be the item in question I decided with Burning Shed to extend the offer for the bonus CD at least until the end of August. So please if you want this disc don't wait until it's too late and then get pissed at me that you have to pay silly money for it on eBay! On that subject please note that there are currently 40 copies left of the Cover Version box set, and about 15 copies of the IEM box set left - neither of which will be repressed. Sorry, I know it's been an expensive year for SW related special editions, box sets...etc...but if it's any consolation from October I don't think there will be any releases for at least 6 months or so - after that 2011 should be all about new music.

Anybody know what could be on the second disc of the Insurgentes package? We've got one for the actual DVD, and we've also got the Bass Communion live recording, but (dependent on the size of the BC show) they could both fit on a single DVD.

Ordered my Insurgentes DVD when it came out. Hope I got in the 1st 2000. The free gift could be anything really, a poster, postcards, a CD with the 6 bonus songs that feature on the DVD. Anyway, I can't wait to see the film in its entirety. I enjoyed the preview that came with the album

They probably played the full-version because Recordings is being reissued.  Would've been amazing to see.  I agree with Ben, I think they should play more from the first few albums but they still have great live DVDs nonetheless.

But look at the setlist:

Can't believe they played the extended version of Even Less, and they also played Pure Narcotic!

Wow, are you serious? The full Even Less! Shocked I have been praying for them to play this live. If only they'd release a recording of it. Anyway, PT and Karnivool? That's a pretty sweet gig right there.Big smile

^Yeah, the preorder link for Opeth is up. I logged into my Facebook, and there was a message from Opeth's page saying the DVD was available to order. A few days before the Insurgentes  DVD LOL I'm gonna be broke!
