Nice poll. Not a true fan of H-era but I've just seen them live and was stunning! Bought their newest, is good but not memorable.

Hard to top Season's End for me, though I haven't heard all the h era albums yet.  SE has a residual Fish-era feel to much of it, which I go for.  In fact, years ago I heard Fish singing on 1 or 2 of these songs as demos before h joined.

Marbles for me. tough the new one , Sounds That Can't Be Made is fine as well - give it a couple of years and it may well be up among their top albums.

As far as I know them: Brave followed by Holidays in Eden (I am one of the few who favours Holidays in Eden over Marbles, which is imho quite overrated).

Marbles.  Get the 2-disc version though.  Brave through This Strange Engine is pretty good stuff too.  Still prefer the Fish era, but h has grown on me through the years.

This Strange Engine, barely beating out their other three master works, Season's End, Afraid of Sunlight and Marbles.  All four of those are excellent albums, but TSE has been my favorite since its release and I doubt that will change.  However, I have not heard their latest yet.

Actually, I just listened to this a couple of days ago.  It does have quite a few good songs.  But several terrible ones that just kill it.

For me it's between Seasons End and Afraid Of Sunlight and i went with the latter.

For me its between Brave and Seasons End.  But since Seasons End is really a Fish-era album that just happens to have h on vocals, lets go for Brave!  In other words, just because one may like SE doesn't necessarily mean one would like other h-era albums, since Brave onward sounds little like what came before; for better or worse.
