All of the Above - Transatlantic

This song is the most all-encompassing, universal, transcendent piece of music I've ever heard. The first time I heard it it was like nothing else before. I remember having similar feelings with Close to the Edge before, but this was even more profuse.

Marillion's "The Invisible Man"

The emotion that this songs coveys, both with music and with the lyrics, is incredible.  This music makes me think of my late best friend.

People lucky enough to hear the song performed live at the Marquee round 1966 would be privileged to witness an altogether different version each time. PATGOD succeeds as an album with or without Interstellar Overdrive so the song stands alone without the other songs on PATGOD to support it. When Pink Floyd created Interstellar Overdrive the creative urge in progressive jazz somewhat died and Prog Rock took it's place.

Nice pick and commentsSmile

Thick as a Brick (complete)

I have owned TaaB from the day it was released on LP. It is the song I have played most though the years and continue to play more now than ever. For me the perfect lyrics put to the perfect music!
Vinyl just sounds better!!

Supper's Ready

Made from few songs combined in to one, and it works perfectly... I listen to it with as much enthusiasm as the first time I heard the song. It has a very special meaning for me,.

Echoes

There is longing, wonderment, mystery, beauty and so many other things hidden in layers of layers of music in this 20-odd minute monster.

Exactly..... please everyone, it's so much easier to count votes if this format is adhered to.

And the couple of you that didn't give explanations need to or you won't get counted.

I think we should probably be stating the artist's names too; with some more obscure songs I'm not necessarily gonna know who the band is.

The first saxophone solo is beautiful!  As well as the harmonies done by Richard Wright.

"The Revealing Science of God"

This captivating Yes song enchants me every time I hear it.  The melodies, themes, transitions, and lyrics just flow perfectly and take me on a magical journey.
