Never liked Roxy very much. Don't see much musical substance and they
took themselves far too seriously. They seemed to mistake fashion
style for musical originality. Eno's great abilities stuck out
like a saw thumb, so he had to go quite quickly. And the later albums
took the abysmal soft disco style and transformed it into so much ooze
'n' schmaltz, it's unbearable.
Now 10cc was another matter. I
always admire artists who can just ignore outward fashion and produce
really great music and top it all with lyrics that are original, thought
provoking and funny without wearing thin. As someone else mentioned, Sparks also fall into this category.
So no contest: 10cc is my choice by far.

Roxy. 10cc are quite weird. Roxy are more accessible, and I like their experiments better.

Certainly more intense with a darker edge. 10CC were more light hearted although they were very welcome.

I voted for 10cc, because of the talents and inventive nature of the band members and what they produced; but Roxy had far more style and the bravery to challenge the mainstream of their time, so it was a difficult choice.

yup, 10CC no match (i'd have included Queen in this poll as well)
Actually there are only two roxy albumųs worth hearing... the first two with Eno... the rest is insipid pop with a crooner boy ahead of the band.

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

Roxy Music always had strong prog credentials with Davy O'List,John Wetton and Eddie Jobson in their line up at one time or another.''Viva! Roxy Music'' is one of my favourite live albums.
10CC were a very clever pop band. Quite fond of them especially thanks to Rubber Bullets which seemed very important to me at the time.
Sparks were the other clever pop band of the time. This Town Aint Big Enough For The Both Of Us another brilliant art pop/rock hit from that time.
