On the one hand, I like it more than the album because of Empty Spaces. On the other hand, a lot of it is really quite silly, especially some of the animations. As I recall, quite a bit of the commentary is Roger and whoever else was on there (Bob isn't on it) making fun of the movie. I probably shouldn't vote since it's been so long since I've seen it to give a numeric rating, but I am quite sure the story isn't "deep": it's just presented in a confusing way. There's nothing wrong with being somewhat confusing, but for some reason people a lot of people fail to make this distinction.

Wow, I also saw it for the first time in Christmas! But long time from now, Christmas 2005, saw it with my bro. Was blown away and changed me quite a lot, hehe, it freaked me out as well.

9 out of 10, it's not perfect, but it's damn original and love it. I consider the movie to be the "real" The Wall rather than the studio album. I haven't listened to the studio album in ages and I'm not really planning in the future.

8. Great movie, every part of it is great from the animations to Geldof's creepy stares. However, it is rather lacking a little something the album had, not sure what.

Talking about the movie here.

My family has it's own sort of tradition. We are a very Pink Floyd loving family, and every Christmas my mother, my grandpa, and my uncle would watch The Wall at night. However, my mom would not allow me because she didn't want me to see teh bewbs. However, she finally let it slide this Christmas and allowed me to partake in the tradition.

Now I gotta say that it was definitely one of the absolute coolest things I have ever seen. It has a very deep and hard to grasp story, but even without fully understanding it I truly find something special in it. Now I've never liked The Wall album despite being a huge Floyd fan along with the rest of my family, but this movie really made the music work for me even though I do not enjoy the album.

So, out of 10, what would you rate the movie? Discuss.
