I don't care what anyone says. I like Tom Cruise. I always enjoy his movies and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. So what if he's a little crazy with the scientology thing? I'm a little crazy about libertarianism. We all have our quirks.

After all these years TC finally played an entertaining character in "Tropic Thunder". But he stands out as half responsible for actually making a Stanley Kubrick movie suck.
WS is by far the better entertainer.

Will Smith
Used to not think much of him as an actor, and while he may not be the best I've actually grown to like him.
Cruise, well he aint bad but can't say I've really been wowed ever.
As for personal things, don't give a crap. Nor do I know them personally. So yeah, Smith is the better actor for sure.

I'd rather have Will Smith as friend, and I'd rather have Will Smith as spiritual advisor, and I'd rather have him as pretty much anything short of schizophrenia tutor...

Tom Cruise was amazing in Magnolia, the P.T. Anderson epic - but overall Will Smith is easier to watch.

I think they can both act quite well. You guys are too particular. Not everyone acts in that hammy, shakespearean way anymore.

*spits on you*
Tom Cruise has not put together one decent acting effort his entire career. Will Smith can at least hold his own in comedic roles, if nothing else.

I didn't know Will Smith was into Scientology.
Dang it, you just ruined him for me.
Voted for him anyway. At least he's had the decency to avoid public displays of insanity.

Not entirely. He did marry a hot chick. I never did watch the Fresh Prince of Foul Air, but I find Will more appealing.
