Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

A London businessman was driving home through the countryside after a meeting, when he looks over into a field and sees a farmer struggling with a cow.  Inquisitively, he stops the car and asks the farmer whether he can be of any assistance.

"Ah, great, says the farmer, could you hold the front of the cow while I take the back legs and pull?  After a few minutes of heaving and straining on all their parts, the Londoner looks over and sees a dazed calf lying on the ground.

The farmer turns to him and says  "Many thanks for your help, that would have been a very difficult job on my own".  To which the Londoner replies "No problem at all, but maybe you could answer me a question... what speed was the Calf doing when it hit the Cow?"

You see, Snow Dog, for every bad joke, there is always a worse one...

A man comes to a country gate, looking over he espies a farmer struggling with a sheep.

" Are you shearing?" he inquires

The farmer replied "NO......Get  your own!"

Guersson Records is based oot o' Spain so mebbe ye kens the whole shady story aybit dis Pererin reisser gaff.

Dis be 'ow Wallace unnerstauns it:
Guersson ha' rights tae "Haul..." licensed to his company direct frae Arfon Wyn of the band. Accordin' tae Guerssen , him findit oot tae hissen astonishment tha Akarma ha' alreedy releas'd Haul an' stock'd their warehouse -wivoot legal permission frae band. Even thought they're not really prog - as stated very clearly on some of their early albums, Budgie were a great band of sheep-shearers...

My most prog album from a welshman would be John Cale's Church Of Anthrax in collaboration with minimalist compser Terry Riley. Astounding stuff but the cream of the crop there is the short sung number lost among the complicated longer tracks .
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I love the  Pererin album 'Haul...'. Any clue of how getting the other two?. And please, I kindly request you don't use phonetic or whatever writting in this forum. There are many non-english speakers here, and these things can be annoying.

The shop in Porthmadog is called COB Records... and absolutely cool place on the edge of town near the Ffestiniog Railway, where I have passed many an interesting hour....and I mean that... you simply cannot do the shop justice in less than 2 hours!!

In your Welsh hunt, don't forget good ol' John Dexter Jones, lead singer with 'Jump'.... he's from Bangor  and their guitarist is from the valleys somewhere... Pontypridd, I think.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Been there and it always rains, the first time 3 days on the trot!! (And outrageous prices for the Clough-Ellis's  Portmeirion china................................). Rather be in Pembrokeshire, a kilometre from Barafundel or at Marloes beach.
