Surprised no one has said the Silly Olypiad, that one has always stuck out to me. But overall, it's really hard to have a favorite Python sketch, they're just too great

I was reminded today by my brother about the Cheese Shop sketch.  Brilliant!!  Cleese and Palin do the best one on one sketches.

The job interview skit, fish slapping (the funniest 16 seconds ever), mosquito hunting, Spanish Inquisition, albatross..... there's just too much to choose from Smile

Edit:  I just found out this wasn't Monty Python, but  John Cleeses How To Irritate People which was made a year before Monty Python was established.  Oh well.  Still really glad I found it.  There are countless Flying Circus sketches that I love as well

40 years now?  Holy cow!

Figures that my best  of Python TV series DVDs were amongst the soaked.  I may have to wipe them off and bring them back to the apartment for I am in need of some cheering up indeed.

There was so much good quality stuff in the original TV series it's really hard to pick one.  One of the great things about many of their bits are that you can watch them today and even though some are obviously dated now, much of it is not.  I think the closest thing in US TV comedy that's somewhat contemporary to Python is Laugh In and I caught a re run of it a few years ago and it was awfully dated. LOL
