I assigned points for each album (If I didn't know it i point ws awrded)
1.Black 35 2.Grey 29 3.White 28 4.Blue 27 5.Brown 21 6.Red 20 7.Yellow 19 8.Green 15 9.Vilet 14 10.Orange 9
So Black wins it...just.
Edit. But I'm overiding it and going for Grey...it has Relayer and Permanent Waves.

This is an interesting poll Robert .
I voted blue. With Phaedra, Ocean and particularly Tales From Topographic Oceans I simply had to.

I feel probed . I damn near went with black because of the strong albums. But then I thought how the Decemberists are right around the corner from annoying me to no end (just an opinion - it's getting to me). So I went with Yellow, an interesting collection. Put it this way, I could probably replay the first four albums in Black from my memory I know them so well, so I'm picturing being able to get along without them if it meant not having to hear the Decemberists get more and more annoying. Cool poll.

Why must my spell-checker continually underline the word "prog"?

Finally went with black. It's like asking a child to chose a gift when there's one bigger and heavier than all the others...

A great poll indeed . I put my dualistic shirt on: it's a choice between Black and White for me.
I vote for White for the following reasons:
- It's the only color from which I have all the albums.
- Part the Second is the album I played most often during the last month.
- At this moment, White is underrated compared to Black (4 against 13).

I've picked white, all are very good albums. Black is a close second, just slightly less good as white IMO.

I picked brown, it was a good, diverse selection. Though if the Pink they chose was one of the options, I definitely would have gone with it instead

Red for me, but they're all good.
This is a neat idea! You should make a sequel.

I need to think more about it...
How about Pink?
Hot Rats/In The Court Of The Crimson King/Per Un Amico/In The Land Of Grey And Pink/Birds Of Fire

That was tough but.... Yellow. It's the Zappa, Genesis, Crimson combination that clinched it.

I went for black, and obviously could, but won't, quibble over choices for the various colors. As I always say in these things, of the albums listed...

Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

True, I didn't think of that. I declare PINK to be the un-official colour of prog's greatest albums. Other pinkies: PFM's "Stati di immaginazione", Bubu's Anabelas, "Boris" by Yezda Urfa, "Hatfied And The North", "Moving Waves" by Focus, etc.

Yeah...five albums in the top positions of their respective genres...I thought of that. Pass.
