The problem really is the reviews feed, isn't it? Would it be possible to implement that only three reviews per user can be in the feed at any given time, and if anyone writes more, their previous ones are kicked out?
I'd think it's fine if somebody adds lots of reviews as long as they are at least OKish, were it not for the feed.

Ehhhh, I can't agree with that part. Most of them come off as really robotic and clinical due to his abuse of timestamps. I.e. "guitar solo comes in at 2:30"; "vocals get louder at 1:20", etc. Half the time, he's just rotely describing the music, rather than explaining its actual quality. I don't know, his writing just comes off as very repetitive and even a bit lazy to me. But to each their own

Member “Yarstruly” has posted @70 reviews over the last two days, totally hogging the latest reviews feed. Nothing wrong with the reviews but I find his “level” reviewing technique rather annoying but maybe it’s just me. I'll try to contact the reviewer. Thanks for reporting. I's a problem that has happened with more than one enthusiastic individual. Often people copy/paste their reviews in here from other sites. By the way, I see your post is full of code as happens to many. Please see this topic for the fix: https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=132330 EDIT: I PMed him about the inconsiderate flooding. He has a valid email, and his forum settings are set for him to receive email notifications of PMs so hopefully he responds and desists. WTAF is yarstruly doing. I'm not commenting on the quality of their reviews, but spamming the reviews like they are is utterly selfish. The latest 50 reviews are nearly all theirs, someone should have a word, and the site shouldnt allow posts every few minues either. I've been coming here for years every day almost and while there's the occasional block of reviews from someone, but never such an ignorant amount like this. I think it will cease soon enough. His own website shows 216 reviews and about half of these are posted, methinks. And these reviews are quite ok. It occurs more often that an author spawns reviews in bulk quantities. I'd suggest that one or two reviews by one and the same author should appear on the front page (maybe 3 or 4 if the author is a collab) and the rest sneaks in silently. That would be an improvement. One more thing: This author's e-mail address is visible in his member profile. If a PM won't work, this might help...

Yeah i thought about that as well and the fact that the site really needs an overhaul is the reason so many have fled and don't want to participate in its future but apparently the owner is in it for the money only and couldn't care less about the modernization possibilities. If this user never visits the forum, do they still get the message? Notification of messages for me appears when I enter the forum, but no where else on the site. Maybe it's different depending on your browser?
