Will Barrett's death unite Pink Floyd onc

All Syd Barret recording will be re-mastsred/re-released in a blaze of publicity. A DVD will be released featuring classic clips and the musings and reminiscing of the other 4 members.

Better than a kick in the nuts of course, but I bet Floyd would stop short of actually meeting up and doing something really big like a tour, or even a one off show. A Syd Barret archive package could be put together without Waters and Gilmour having to face each other. The package could come out as a limited edition for the first 10,000,000 copies only. It will feature a flashing diamond on the cover, powered by a watch battery. In true Floyd style..

'Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash!'

Perhaps they could give a large chunk of the royalties to Barrets family...

I hope it will spur them to do at least something....

It sounds cynical or too idealistic but Pink Floyd could organise a Syd Barrett Tribute Concert in order to collect money for several diabetes organisations? I am sure this will give an extra dimension to Money... ...!

I doubt Pink Floyd will ever get back together under any circumstances.

The members Pink Floyd right now, and for a long time now, are probably more focused with their own endeavours, and not Pink Floyd's. These endeavours most likely include sailing, flying, and NASCAR, and not music. Consider being lucky for the Live 8 reunion, it is unlikely to ever see Pink Floyd do anything ever together again. Besides, the last thing Syd would have wanted, I presume, was to have a tribute show for him.

Maybe if Syd croaked that sentiment from his deathbed, then maybe a snowball's chance.  Otherwise, I would have to say, "No Dice."

    Perhaps maybe just a tribute show, playing only Syd's music. I think that would be nice.
