after years of searching for my ideal prog sound, here are my favourite cd players and i can highly recommend them....!

  SONY CDP-X3000ES

top-loading machine, vibrant, punchy sound, loads of detail, very tight bass, good stereo imagery, though has a slightly restricted sound stage. handles most types of music, though excels on acoustic guitars and drums.

 MARANTX CD6000 OSE

front-loading,excellent all-rounder, tight bass, astonishing detail and imagery, spacious, wide sound stage, excellent detail. handles busy recordings well.my model has trichord clock 2.

used with JVC A-X2 class "A" amplifier and HEYBROOK HB2 speakers.
