no not at all, i cannot read music at all...but i have a website that has all of the piano chords virtualized on screen. I played the right hand in the chapel today at school it sounded beautiful! question. in the left hand he is playing chords, and single notes as well right? Like when he does the first chord and goes bang, bang bang up higher, and then 1-2-3-4 connected going downard, that 1 2 3 4 is all single notes right? |

OK I'll have a go at annotating the score - are you OK with things like Dma7 4th inversion etc? Regards Martin |

When I was at school, way back in the last century in the days when colour TV and digital watches were cutting edge technology, there was a boy a year or two above me who could play it note for note on the school piano, which many of us considered to be one of the greatest achievements of the 20th century. Mrs Syzygy, a very talented pianist, rates it as moderately challenging. |

Well - it is a bit of a bugger ! - but probably took about 2/3 hours to get to the level of the mp3 I listed above (in several sessions over a couple of weeks !) The RH alone is not toooo bad & neither is the LH - on its own - but there are a few bits where it is hard to get them together in time (the triplit bits). The most awkward bit is the bit before it comes back into the main theme - this is only really best attempted following several pan galactic gagle blasters I know you said you don't read music - is the score of no use at all? Not being funny (for once) do you know the notes of the stave lines? - I can annotate if it helps - then you can work out all the others (above & below the stave) & then you're off... Trick is to learn to play this slow all the way through before winding the speed up Cheers Martin |

So you play it better than Tony Banks, then? You'll probably be nominated for a PA-award in that case |

I glanced at it from a mysongbook.com version and the right hand seemed
quite easy, haven't tried left hand yet. I could see how long it'll
take me to learn it (for piano).
Okay, so I checked the sheet and it does seem harder than I first thought. Edited by Rosescar |

Try to ask it Carakhello, he is from Spanish progrock band Senogul and has played Firth Of Fifth wonderfully with his band. He is on the memberlist so you can send a PM. |

Even Tony Banks found the opening section too hard to play live, hence the absence of it on "Seconds out".

Yaksongs (also a ProgArchives-member) worked on the score. He made a great score. Here's the link: http://www.yaksongs.com/musicxyzscores.html I'm still trying to master it. Have fun! |
