Everyone else on that list is respectable, except Bolan and Vaughan whom I don't know.

Cobain. I hardly like anybody at all on that list except Zappa and John Lennon. Both, however, made their fair share of pointless music IMO.

id have to say cobain out of hte list but i dont think he is that overratted. I think the Rolling Stones are the most overratted band on the planet. I still like them but i just cant stand how over hyped they are.

None of them. They all brought something new into music.

What about Jeff Beck?

Jim Morrison for me - as much as I like the Doors, his lyrics were mostly trite and he wasn't anything that special as a singer either.
Kurt Cobain has been ridiculously over praised since his death, but Nirvana's albums still pack a real punch.

Hi Baldfriede
I understand your statement about Hendrix and he did revolutionize guitar playing. I just get tired of people always saying he was the best and will always be the best.
Peace

I guess because they're not dead (although in Keith Richards case that's debatable).

Kurt Cobain. About dead men we'd rather say something good or nothing. I'd rather say nothing.
