Wow, hard choice! I had to give the nod to Yes for being there before Rush and helping to get the whole prog movement started. Otherwise, I may have given the nod to Rush. I enjoy both bands outputs immensely.

Rush...as always. Until I hear Yes' "classic period", I'm not likely to change my mind.

Rush has been one of my top 5 (if not my favorite) bands since I was 10
years old (I'm now 35). They get the easy vote. Just talented, great
songs, sense of humor, although Neil's lyrics sometimes veer toward the
verbose. Not that Yes isn't great, but Rush owns. Just check out the
Rush In Rio and R30 DVD's to find out why. Still cool after all these
years...while Yes feels like a "weren't we great when" band. Like I said, Yes is still good, but Rush hasn't lost a step.

The fact that Yes actually finally beat Rush in something gives me a warm fuzzy.
This poll is their only victory over Rush and it's one little one at that.

would add for shear 'bestness' hard IMO to top GG, they could (did?) do
it all. anyway, Rush is not even in the same league as Yes.
Only thing Rush did better was spotlight the considerable skills of
it's drummer rather than Yes's drummers taking a 'backseat' to the
caped, and booted wonders.

I'll take RUSH Limbaugh over Yes.
Ooop....Yes by far over Rush.

I like them both pretty evenly so I'm not voting.

Why don't you like Yes, Cert?
And it's Rush for me, as well.
