The rules say: "Prog Music lounge This section is for general discussions about Progressive music. Unless and until an artist is included in Prog Archives, they are not considered to be "prog". In other words, discussions in "Prog Music Lounge" should only be about groups/music currently included in Prog Archives, or about progressive music in general. " |

I don't think he violated anything. The thread creator still wants people to list prog metal and heavy prog albums. If you think he did, write an admin to move it where you think it fits.

So it's now fine to violate the PA rules, and all the forums/lounges are for all-music? |

well, I think the "metal" includes progressive metal, so the thread is fine where it is.

Another question, since the thread title talks about all Metal, why is this thread not started in General Music Discussions (as now it violates the PA rules)?

Nice to see Avatarium mentioned ... but are they prog? They're definitely adjacent at least in my book, but not yet included on PA.

In my opinion, definitely 2001: Aesma Daeva - The Eros of Frigid Beauty which I also consider to be Prog Metal, even the band is not on PA.

I thought of Astra too, but I didn't know if they were heavy enough to include them here.

I thought of these two as well, but I didn't know if we were supposed to add prog-metal bands. (Although I did add Arch/Matheos to my list, so what do I know )

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

You could start at the beginning with Aesma Daeva's debut album and then work your way through. That's what I usually do. 1999: Aesma Daeva - Here Lies One Whose Name Was Written in Water - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nQLLfKq6zQMJO1jkECUxSjjBtJuHAowEk

Yes, it says Fave Five, so I'm choosing five favourite Hard Rock/Metal bands beginning with the letter "A", just like you did at the top of the page, although I can't promise there'll be exactly five albums by each artist.
