This is tough!
Basically a toss-up between Caravan, Magma and The Softs. I’m going with the former on this one.

I've always had a soft spot for Renaissance. However if Marillion was there that's the one I would have voted for.

Only ELP out of the "big six" takes part of my own personal "big five" anyway.

I love 10 of these bands and really any other day a different band would be number one. Today its GG.

of the "big six" only King Crimson would make it into my personal top 10. the other 9 would be Van der Graaf Generator, Magma, Gong, Hawkwind, the German bands Amon Düül II, Can, Guru Guru and Embryo and The Residents.

I can not vote in this poll, but if I could pick, I could pick either Camel or Supertramp. With Camel, I love "Lady Fantasy" and the Snow Goose album, and think that Andrew Latimer is a great musician. With Supertramp, I always loved the Logical Song, which made me happy for years on end. The group had other songs I really enjoyed like "Goodbye Stranger", "Breakfast America", and "School", and David Gilmour played guitar on "Brother Where Are You Bound". I have yet to fully explore these bands, but they are going good for me so far, and is excited to see their other content.
