Dogs is quite sweet- I like the electronic barking in the distance. however, Sheep has this amazing chordal progression towards the end which captures my heart- So definitely Sheep.

At my first Animals listenings, I loves Dogs far away in from of the two others..  But after seeing the Australian Pink Floyd play Pigs, I fell in love with it, so I'll go with Pigs

Dogs - Beautiful Music and sharp lyrics that relate perfectly to people I know and am in contact with, and to many other people I meet daily.

Good Question! Here's my order
Dogs
Pigs
Sheep

(In album order-what are the odds?)

Anyways, dogs gets it because I find it hauntingly beautiful! It makes shudder everytime the middle of song comes around... Wonderful masterpiece! I appluad Roger on his effort.

I don't know what you guys are into and frankly I don't want to know...personally I'm into women (female humans) myself.

Oh, oh, you are talking about the Pink Floyd album Animals.

Well, in that case Dogs.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

PIGS BY FARRR
I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

It's gotta be Sheep! I love the guitar playing all round and see the vocal melody lines as the best on the album. Not saying that the rest of "Animals" is inferior, it's probably my favourite PF album.

Anamals is one of the great prog albums no doubt and there isnt a bad spot anywhere.I think Sheep really hits the bullseye when the basic human need to worship and follow a sheepherderis a brilliant yet simple metaphor. Is Christ the great shepard or the great sheepherder?

Yeah I do agree with that, "Who was born in a house full of pain" such a powerfull feeling comes over you when you hear it.

I think the imagery is just breath-taking ... and more than a little chilling ...

Broken by trained personnel

Only a stranger at home

Dragged Down By The Stone

My opinion on the best song on Animals has always changed a
lot. At some point, I have thought each of the 3 the best. First, it
was Dogs, and Dogs is more often my favorite than the other
two. Pigs and Sheep, however have friggin awesome endings.
I have to sayDOGS though, because
of the darkness and tranciness of the whole song. Love the
chord progression at 5 minutes, and then where it busts out
with the drums and Gilmour soloing. for Pigs, LOVE the return
to the verse at 8:09 with "Hey you Whitehouse, HA HA,
charade you are", the chord change at 8:13 is super phat.
Like the lilting feel to Sheep.

Also, I always like to encapsulate my trippy Floyd mixes with
"Pigs On the Wing" (songs like "Echoes", "Atom Heart Mother"
and "A Saucerfull of Secrets" and "Careful with that Axe,
Eugene" (both the live Ummagumma versions)
Your hands and feet are mangos, you're gonna be a genius anyway

Dogs!

I love the acoustic guitar on this song and also the ambient-like section in the middle of it. Don't get me started on the solos! And the lyrics are some of the best I've ever heard, as well.

Pigs (Three Different Ones) is also great, but I'm not fond of the instrumental part on it.

Now, Sheep has got to be on second place for me... with that cool & jazzy keyboard intro, Roger's vocals fading out and mixing with the synths, and who can forget that powerful ending with Dave's guitar, playing those descending chords madly.  However... the bridge, doesn't work out for me. That's why, IMO, only Dogs is completely flawless.
