Sweet - in my youth I went crazy accumulating all this sh*t like roto-toms, double pedals, and china-type cymbals, but now I would take a "less is more" attitude.

That was like me for a long time, until I realised I needed to correct my technique, so off went the computer games and the like, and spent more time practicing, and once you get to a certain level, it's seriously extremely rewarding. But hell, as long as it sounds hilarious on STC, then it ain't bad

I haven't drummed in literally a decade. I'd like to get an electronic kit someday but for that you need to shell out some serious coin.

My kit is a 6 piece TAMA Bubinga starclassic, previously owned by Bruford. The finish is black with a gold stripe down the centre. It's a sexy piece of sh*t. It cost me $3200 or $3500 in Canuck dollars, so yeah, that's some serious coin.

Lol, silly boy. Do take into the account the advice I gave you in your bring you skill level thread. And also take into account I have taught guitar in the past as well, so I've got some idea of what I'm talking about in terms of teaching instruments like guitar and bass.

I have an electric kit
lol bold claim
I have a second-hand collection of pads you can mount on scaffolds
one of the pedals is so fussy that it can only be played by someone wearing spiked stilletoes
you can assign each pad a ridiculous sample and change its pitch and stuff
kinda neato, but I drum even less well than I formats posts

Nah, I just wikipedia'd Laplace and that came up. Damned if I have any idea what that thing means--though I do go to one of the finest high schools in the nation.

Without the drum solo, this song is going to be like 40 seconds long.
